And why should they?
In the summer, we'll know where we are. Back in the Championship, shake hands and sell him. Still in the PL, negotiate. Then we either keep him or get a good price for him.

If we go down, Snoddy, Livermore, Hernandez, Robertson and maybe Clucas will all be off. So what's the point selling them now? Absolutely non, it will disrupt the team and our new found momentum. If they want to leave the chairmen and manager must just ask to give them 4 more months of hard graft then they can go. If we sell, for any amount of money it's ludicrous because the money gained from staying in the league is far greater. Ehab man up grow some balls!

He already has a relegation clause in his contract, you've completely invented that as an issue, his reason for rejecting the deal is the length of the contract.
