I take your point but I think you can have experience without the downside you refer to and I think centre half is where we most need it given the importance of corners and set pieces in the English game, it's also an area where we have been a bit vulnerable this season. If McLoughlin gets injured/suspended I think we'd have a problem.
Agreed but have you seen how many defensive headers from corners Eaves wins which have really helped

Smallwood apart think the days are going where teams need ‘experience’ which so often comes in the form of either unfit or overpaid legs gone players. If you’ve bought energy and reasonable quality and have a good team spirit(thanks Mcann ) you can do ok. I think Shota may just be really football intelligent and at a level we’ve not seen too often . If you know what I mean his after match comments were a breath of clarity
God that’s deep!!!
Agree with this. I think the problem with bringing in an experienced CB is that currently he wouldn't get a game. I wouldn't leave out any of the current 3 for a Curtis Davies for example, and we have Alfie to come back too. Of course if we suddenly have injuries we might regret it but I can't imagine an ex Premier League CB would want to come to us and be told you'll only play if the current guys get a knock.

From what some commentators have said we are in a favourable position compared to other clubs in the Championship, Heard one, didn't catch who, saying that even fans who wanted them out should be grateful to them for that, we are in a better position than a lot of clubs. Even better with new owners not hamstrung with FFP restrictions and a load of outstanding debts like new owners would be elsewhere.

Selling Bowen and Grosicki, subsequent relegation with a 50% pay cut across the board and covid lockdown. All worked out rather well for FFP purposes. I do not know the exact figure. It is, I believe, the somewhat numerically vague, plenty of wriggle room.
As far as grateful, only the fact any borrowings were from themselves. They were never running a football club, only a football related business.

A couple of dozen posts have been deleted, nobody is interested in pages of ****e about spelling etc, give a rest ffs.
Each to their own but I find them quite fascinating and educational so I am in favour of them remaining. Particularly if they help improve the standard of grammer used on the board.

I don't know whether there is anything in this or not, but one or two on Twitter are saying the signing of Liam Walsh is cover for Honeyman, who has a problem with his shoulder. Honeyman definitely had his shoulder injured Saturday, and the signing of Walsh did sort of come out the blue. Maybe nothing in it, but it might be the case. Anyone heard anything?

No but seems logical if they think George needs time out for an op or a recovery rest
