I’m totally bamboozled as to what our January dealings will look like. On one hand we’re linked with an £8.5million move for a Lazio striker and then on the other were looking at former Turkish U19 players who are no longer with a club.

I’d settle for something in between!

Am I right in thinking we can't buy anybody unless the EFL loan is repaid?

Until the takeover is ratified - the EFL loan that led to the embargo remains, so therefore we would still be subject to the same restrictions as summer.

It will be paid off as part of the sale completion process - meaning we will be able to pay fees, and the squad cap will be removed as soon as it goes through.

There is a bloke on twitter suggesting the deal itself is no longer holding up an announcement, it's being able to announce a signing at the same time.

Whether this is true or not I really don't know.

Hull City are expected to complete the signing of Hidemasa Morita from Santa Clara once Acun Ilicali finalises his takeover of the club.

He’s a very good player. And probably just what we need. I feel agents are maybe very active with us at the moment.

The EFL loan that led to the embargo has nothing to do with the takeover. It may well be paid as a part of the takeover but can be paid before or after...with restrictions in place until who ever pays it
