They would have to do alot better than that. Its pure rubbish and should be ignored for what it is.....RUBBISH.
But they all have a massive paddy when we treat their derisory bids with 'the disdain they deserve'.
Under Pearson at city very rarely did we find out of potential bids like this. Nige was always proud of saying its done when its done. Now the deals are being leaked and in my opinion its too unsettle players and make them hand in transfer requests.
In all honesty I never really bought that. He certainly wasn't embarrassing like we were under Duffen (Owen, Zamora, Negredo, etc.) but he didn't really keep things a secret either. We knew we were getting Fryatt and McLean last year before January even began, we knew about Bostock, Simpson, Koren, Waghorn and others days before they were signed and McKenna and Adebola were public about a month before we signed them. Also, on the final day of last season he basically revealed that we were interested in signing Danns and Norris over the summer both of which we were eventually priced out of. I'm sure there'd still have been competition from other clubs even if he hadn't made it clear that they were our targets, but he certainly isn't as private about his transfers as people make out.
The Leicester fans seem convinced that there's nothing dodgy in these bids (though I understand that it seems the Chester one is media nonsense) but what they're not understanding is that their management and owners have been told several times that we are not in the business of selling key players and that we certainly won't be entertaining any interest from Leicester in any of our players. Despite this they keep coming back to wind people up. I'd be embarrassed if it was my club.
As for who is leaking the deals, Adam Pearson came out and spoke about the bid after he was asked about it by the media, it had become public knowledge the day before, and if my memory serves me well it was in the Leicester mercury.
