They would have to do alot better than that. Its pure rubbish and should be ignored for what it is.....RUBBISH.

But they all have a massive paddy when we treat their derisory bids with 'the disdain they deserve'.

Under Pearson at city very rarely did we find out of potential bids like this. Nige was always proud of saying its done when its done. Now the deals are being leaked and in my opinion its too unsettle players and make them hand in transfer requests.

In all honesty I never really bought that. He certainly wasn't embarrassing like we were under Duffen (Owen, Zamora, Negredo, etc.) but he didn't really keep things a secret either. We knew we were getting Fryatt and McLean last year before January even began, we knew about Bostock, Simpson, Koren, Waghorn and others days before they were signed and McKenna and Adebola were public about a month before we signed them. Also, on the final day of last season he basically revealed that we were interested in signing Danns and Norris over the summer both of which we were eventually priced out of. I'm sure there'd still have been competition from other clubs even if he hadn't made it clear that they were our targets, but he certainly isn't as private about his transfers as people make out.

The Leicester fans seem convinced that there's nothing dodgy in these bids (though I understand that it seems the Chester one is media nonsense) but what they're not understanding is that their management and owners have been told several times that we are not in the business of selling key players and that we certainly won't be entertaining any interest from Leicester in any of our players. Despite this they keep coming back to wind people up. I'd be embarrassed if it was my club.

As for who is leaking the deals, Adam Pearson came out and spoke about the bid after he was asked about it by the media, it had become public knowledge the day before, and if my memory serves me well it was in the Leicester mercury.

If this is true it really shows how desperate Pearson is. He keeps coming back for more humiliation, so I can only assume he's having no success with his other targets.

CORRECT. NP failed to land messrs. Stewart, Sharp, Kebe already. NP is desperate and this shows him upto be regardless. The deal that Billy Sharp reportedly got and turned his back on must have hurt the money grabbing pearson. I think this all now proves who actually was key to landing the man utd lads at hull city and it wasn't negative nigel. <ok>

i dont see why any offer would unsettle a player ,
If he wants to go the move will happen , if he wants to stay the move wont happen .
Its really as simple as that , so i dont get why people claim it to be some mindgame masterstroke from "el mardy bum"

He never made speculation on his targets as a tiger (unlike cheeky comments from NB).

If it is true, then surley Pearson would rather go for Hobbs, he knows him like the back of his hand and has been with him for the past 2/3 years

It now looks like we getting Wes Morgan from Forest. As i have said before i cant see us getting any Hull players until the summer at the very least.

I havent seen alot of Chester but you guys and the media rate him alot so do you really blame Nigel for wanting him? If you was Nigel would you be interested in signing Stewart and Chester

To be fair, he hasn't bid for him, he hasn't said he was going to bid for him, all that happened was a tweet from someone in Leicester and that was retracted about an hour later.

2) Leicester are after Morgan, there's a hitch in the deal and the reporter has guessed as to who their next target could be.

If Leicester do come after Chester though that £5M for Mills should be used as the guide price.

Well IF thats the case ^^^^ then £35m might not be far from the required amount.:emoticon-0100-smile

Ah, but the Fail obviously didn't spot the retraction as it's in there today :-

"LEICESTER City are believed to have made a formal offer for Tigers centre-half James Chester.
However, the bid from Nigel Pearson's side is likely to be dismissed by the Tigers, with chairman Assem Allam recently saying he would not sell any players to the Foxes."

SO IT MUST BE TRUE !!!

A tweeter and the Lesta Mercury it appears. Neither a reliable source. Lets face it James Chester or Wes Morgan ? what a difference in standards.

Its clear to me that lesta dont have the money some foxes fans think they do have. None of the NP signings so far smell of splashing the cash. Sven has emptied the money box already. By the summer NP will be sacked and another manager in his place. Looks like a job for Colin W. then.

Wes Morgan was in the PFA team of the season last year. A solid defender in this divison and will represent alot better value for money then if we did somehow agree a fee for Chester. Chester has alot more potential but with Mills, Bamba and St. Ledger already doing well we dont need another fantasic centre half just someone who is decent and is going to compete for a place

We arent spending money like we did under Sven because Nigel doesnt think its the right way of doing things. He accused Sven of collecting players and not building a team. No one will be moving to Leicester from Hull in the near future so any rumours are worth bothering about. Were not going to break the bank anymore to sign anyone and you wont sell to us unless we do break the bank

Sky Sports understands Leicester have made a bid for Hull's James Chester. #HCAFC #LCFC

who the heck is Pete O'Rourke ? I hope they have and would love to see the reply ? It should be made public. LMAO :emoticon-0102-bigsm :emoticon-0102-bigsm

but back in the real world SSN report that IF LCFC offer one million quid then Morgan is a fox. surely that must be a better to stop all NP pain and embarrassment. <ok>

A few seasons back, Sky showed our chairman leaving the building on the closing night of transfer deadline day. As he left at about 18:00 he said he was going home as we'd done all the business we were doing. Sky still continued to hype up the supposed move of some player I forget to Hull.

This gadgey's probably just trotting out the Leicester leak the Mercury bloke swallowed.

How much do you think Chester is worth before you add the extra 2M on the end for us

Well if Julian Lescott was worth £23m then I would say not a penny less than £35m is acceptable. Still Interested ?

The kid could go onto play for a top 4 PL club or one of europes best. Yes he is that good. You can see for yourself on 24th March 2012 from 3pm. Hobbs and Chester against Nugent and Beckford - Very tasty battle that will be.
