And god help you if you go against the admins views on forums,

Nobody has because 'admin' (or mods, call them what you will) haven't posted. 'Admin' have sat quietly in the background doing what 'admin' do. I've no idea why you feel the need to abuse them as you just have.

Dutch_mountain_dog has expressed his opinion though.

And that's what you got from my post ! That my point you have picked up what has suited you ! You are a terrible mod and Fez has proven that point time and time again on this thead

It's what you put! What else am I supposed to get from it?

Some people can't seem to differentiate a poster from a moderator. Just because I help clean some of the nonsense of here from time to time doesn't preclude from voicing my opinion.

If I was abusing the position by deleting posters I didn't agree with, you could have a point, the fact I reply to clarify such confusion seems to negate that point.

Dogue, Dutch, ISPLT and even Ricardo the Barnsley fan are entitled to express their opinion on here. Being a mod does not preclude them from entering into debate. Feel free to disagree but I think it's unfair to say they are terrible mods simply because they disagree with you

At least PC Nesbitt was dressed like a copper.Mind you I was dressed like a plonker

Nesbitt was a twat he kept throwing me out every other week ...even nicked me for paying half price to get in at one game ..

I bet I know you Cafe .

Huddersfield away .... IF I could go to the game would I ?

Yes.

What do I think others should do ?

What ever they want to do.

I do think there's more chance of Agro with fans spread out in pubs.

That's why the ban is dumb in my opinion..

I like the mods on here and all the posters .. Me thinks Not606 is the best.

I will be watching the game in the ground, having parked up at that poxy service station and paying 2 quid to be a bus ******, and I will be singing, loudly, happy in the knowledge that Sky do not filter out the words like the BBC does. Can we get some decent songs sorted before hand, and maybe shared with the Udders fans? Would they join in with us do you think?

I choose to support my team in this manner. I also support and admire those who will be travelling to Udders to not go in to the game and to watch in local pubs. As long as there is no trouble, anywhere, the combination of the 2 sets of fans inside and outside, should hopefully draw attention to this travesty.

WYP will not win regardless, unless there is ANY trouble. With no trouble, and lots of City fans in and around Udders, they will look bad.

Then next season, how many games will be be playing in the WYP region when we're in the PL? Come the first day back at work after Easter, I suspect the majority will have forgotten about this and will just move on.

^^^^This^^^^

Well when I started this thread yesterday afternoon, I didn't think it would identify such starkly different and strongly held views. It's provided an interesting read. I do hope I haven't either directly or indirectly upset too many of you. Well perhaps I couldn't give a damn what some of you actually think (Johnny Cashism)

Anyway I have had one epiphany, (OK idea) but hey I haven't had the opportunity to stick that word in too many of my posts.

Anyway here goes; I have a couple of mates who are Huddersfield fans, I'm going to suggest that we swap scarves. There are two aspects to this, there will be Blue and white scarves amongst the travelling City fans and Amber and Black scarves amongst the Huddersfield fans. Showing unity. Plus if lots of fellow supporters do this the mix of Huddersfield and Hull fans will visually cause the police embarrassment and at the same time concern over segregation of fans!

Do you think more fans could do the same?

Thoughts??

Epiphany love that word. Anyway, what are Huddersfield fans thoughts on this ? Looked on there forum and not seeing much debate on there forum about this ! if you could some how do a scarf swap in the ground this would be great to see ! But once a goal goes in i think we might be seeing burning effigies !!!

Lol my mate would go ape if I burnt/soiled his scarves, plus he's 6'5 and weighs 17stone! Plus I trust him with mine, hey we've got plenty..

My plan is to take it in inside my jacket and then do that gay Leeds swinging thingy :/

Forgot to add my understanding from said mate and the wife's family who live in Marsden (Huddersfield) that Huddersfield fans support our position. Maybe some will swap on the day? Might take the Mrs along as well you never know ???

Good on you, but just in case we lose and some how his scarf gets damaged <whistle> How fast can you run :emoticon-0102-bigsm

I'm undecided what I'll do. I'll be in Hull on the Friday anyway for the rugby, so wouldn't be coming back to Hudds to stay anyway until after Watford on the Tuesday.

The closer it gets to the game the more I think bugger it I'll go to the game from the services and just grumble about it.

Whatever happens now, WYP look like morons.

People's failure to make a distinction between moderating a board and having an opinion on a topic is precisely why I jacked in moderating this board.

How i see moderators. Moderators are sometimes encouraged to join in discussions, especially if they have expert experience or advice to contribute. Other forums prefer their moderators to remain totally objective and mainly serve as impartial enforcers. Occasionally a forum moderator will pose as a contributor to steer a discussion in another direction or offer input without fear of posing a conflict of interest ! I don't see that going on here ! Mod's on here from what i have seen seem to turn the conflict if it goes against there opinion or view into a pissing contest ! and strays of the point rather then them keeping it on topic !

There's your confusion. Mods on here are just posters that do a bit of tidying up. We have opinions and we're not afraid to use them. That's just something you'll have to live with.

As for the pissing contest ****e, have a look at who kept trying to steer this back on track, and which posters are knocking it off track again.

Being a moderator isn't a job, there are no rules for how to do it, those who give up their time to help out are just posters like everyone else, they just have the added responsibility of getting rid of the odd arsehole who ruins threads and deleting anything that's out of order. Nobody on here should be telling the moderators what opinions they should or shouldn't have, it's bloody ridiculous.

Sadly he's not alone in this peculiar choice to put moderators apart from posters. it's something I've noticed for a while from some people.

To try to clarify it, I was contemplating using the policeman emoticon if I was talking as a mod, but I realised I only really talk as a mod via PM.

i have given you my opinion on or defined What i see as a mod and i don't see yourself as a good mod ! so with you saying i am confused about this would be to imply my view is wrong ! And i don't have no confusion over a mods roll i just don't share your opinion !

.

Never said it was ? It is your own choice to take on the role! Agree

Although you do quite happily abuse your power (that you don't use), to create childish threads like you have for a few of us who you disagreed with. The other mods don't do that, and they quite happily share their opinions too, without getting all arsey. A few of us were expecting you to do that again on this thread btw, so fair play for not doing it.

Either way, this thread has largely been interesting reading and it's good to talk.
