8 pages of utter turd.

8 full pages of complete dog ****.

I always thought when the time came I would find something profound to say, something to be remembered by.

But no.

I really cannot be arsed anymore.

It's been emotional.

;)

Although you do quite happily abuse your power (that you don't use), to create childish threads like you have for a few of us who you disagreed with. The other mods don't do that, and they quite happily share their opinions too, without getting all arsey. A few of us were expecting you to do that again on this thread btw, so fair play for not doing it.

Either way, this thread has largely been interesting reading and it's good to talk.

How is creating a thread an abuse of power?

If you mean when I've 'pruned' some threads to leave the initial one for the topic and create another one for the off topic discussion, I do that far less than the other mods do and it's others that have created the debates anyway.

i have given you my opinion on or defined What i see as a mod and i don't see yourself as a good mod ! so with you saying i am confused about this would be to imply my view is wrong ! And i don't have no confusion over a mods roll i just don't share your opinion !

.

<laugh> So you have an opinion that bares no resemblance to how this network operates, but yours is the right opinion. <ok>

I agree with Scarb. This is the best forum and allows opinions to be expressed that would be banned on most other sites.
This is a forum in the true spirit of the concept.
I have tried to put my strongly held views as have others with different (and obviously incorrect)views.
This is healthy.
I apologise for being over aggressive yesterday to Jobboshinpad.I still think he is wrong to go BUT if he cannot see sense so be it.
I do think whether we are in or out of the stadium it is a brilliant idea to swap/buy udders scarves.
I would sooner wear a udders scarf than fight with any other fans
Do not under estimate this forum.
Hopefully you will on day realise my ideas are always the best

For my part I have congratulated the mods on this board on a number of occasions, I appreciate the work they do and understand the distinction between moderation and personal posting; that is a point of record on here and from an occasional PM or rep award. I have no intention of defending my stance on this particular thread, as I have been very clear throughout. Dutch came in after earlier discussion between some of us who disagreed with each other about the appropriateness of using peer pressure in swaying actions and thoughts – the beauty of these boards is that can be read back through, if folk can be arsed.

I did not conform to the opinion of DMD and his best response to my argument was to claim that I was not offering any alternative view; the fact is, he was wrong because a simple read back before his comments proves him wrong. I even took the trouble to repeat them and still he decided to be snide and disregarded my personal views, choosing instead to be dismissive with throw away comment and emotcions that showed his contempt. This was not the action of a moderator, just a poster who cannot seem to brook rational debate. I do find it quite funny that only a few hours after I fully qualified my position (more than he did!) the club issued a statement that very closely reflected it.

This is an anonymous board, although, one way or another, some of us are acquainted; I don’t carry grudges, I have had a debate with a few on here, some have agreed, some not, but most don’t take the ball home because they are losing! The next thread is a new start as far as I am concerned, as I could be arguing just as strongly in support of DMD, because surely that what forums are about – the issue not the personality. I have no problems with anyone, I am satisfied with the outcome, but a little unsure about what happens after the banner handover, but I am quite prepared to wait and see.

I am not attending the game as every game (bar Boro) is at least a 280 mile away game for me, so as I pay for Sky I will enjoy the game with my family. If I were to attend I would attend the game as I believe the point has been made and will be progressed elsewhere (I made this clear also) – although, as I have said from the outset, I would defend anyone’s right to make their own choice, which is why I disliked some of the subliminal pressure (bullying) in some of the earlier posts.

The debate is now closed, I respect the work of the mods, including Dutch Mountain Dog and have enjoyed the swapping of edgy views, I can take a hint and I don’t give up. :emoticon-0150-hands

Nobody asked or expected you to conform to an opinion. What you did was simply poo poo other opinions without offering your own. By the time you did, I gave little time or credence to your view due to the earlier negativity.

I really don't bear grudges. The threats and abuse some have posted in my in box and on here lay testament to that. A '****' mod possibly wouldn't put up with it. It's wasted on me.

oh for ****s sake .. give it up .... your making a mockery of it if to be honest ... yes it made a point at the time but now it honestly feels like the "old school" fans complaining where as the new gen of fans are quite happy to let rules be rules .. a banner is one thing in the ground (which I support) .. but doing songs and going to pubs within the area will only end in tears as the WYP will happily say afterwards "I told you so" ...

the only song that should matter is "come on city" ... etc etc .. its a football game . not an election ffs

Thank you Mr dazednconfuzed representing the Apathetic Lay Down and Beg Party.

The average age of those initiating much of it is 20 years old. Hardly old school.

Ill repeat

the only song that should matter is "come on city" ... etc etc .. its a football game . not an election ffs

remember the small matter about our eleven lads trying to get us promotion ? ... that seems to be so irrelevant to a fair few on here right now ... how about maccas injury .. fryatt back in training .. hoping the lads come back from internationals injury free ,,,

oh no lets complain about something which cannot be changed and will have no affect on OUR club long term .. but hey ho .. your choice .. my choice is get behind our lads on the pitch and stop bitching about something that is so small in the world of football 90% of people do not care and the other 10% have full control and will not relinquish this control due to the money that the 90% have to pay them

oh no lets complain about something which cannot be changed If no-one ever stood up for their rights nothing would ever change.
and will have no affect on OUR club long term It would have a positive effect for all supporters long term if it helped to expose and stop police abuse of law-abiding citizens.
.. but hey ho .. your choice .. my choice is get behind our lads on the pitch and stop bitching about something that is so small Why is it small to be treated like a criminal?
in the world of football 90% of people do not care and the other 10% have full control and will not relinquish this control due to the money that the 90% have to pay them So as I said your answer is to get down on your belly and wait to be kicked
.

It's been a total cluster-**** that as been more than adequately publicised, but the team needs support. I don't think falling of a high-horse of indignation is now an appropriate way to support the promotion drive; some will and some won't but it is a choice of the individual.[
/QUOTE]

Of course, that question is begged, but I think there has to be an element of realism. They made a poor decision that was challenged through legitimate lobbying and rational argument, they made some concessions, hardly face-saving one's, but about as good as we would get; anything more would have seriously challenge their credibility.

This level of restriction is not unique, but our collective response has been; we, at both club and national supporters level, have put a very big and easily monitored stake in the ground and we should be proud of that; it would be followed up by clear and decent demonstration, but outside and within the ground - under no circumstances should it infringe the enjoyment of others.

This is now something that should be monitored and resurrected if and when necessary, to detract from our away support is a bit of an empty gesture and will go pretty much unnoticed. All very frustrating, but that's life; unless it is do or die, fight battles you have a chance of winning - one of those battles is promotion; we've made a very strong point, now let's get our eye back on the ball. That's my opinion.

You disappoint me; try reading my post.

I have made it clear that I believe we have achieved all we can in this instance. I have also made it clear that us (and other clubs) can resurrect the protest when it becomes appropriate. What about that is 'talking as if it is all over' or 'giving in far too easily'; I am going to watch with interest the results of your pompous indignation. The national supporters group are quite capable of taking this further, to be fair they have been very quiet over previous similar occurrences and should hang their heads in shame that they have only now become involved.

My bottom line is that you (us) have all made an excellent and dignified stance, it has drawn belated national supporter attention and top level political support - the first job is done; what I now see as futile and self-serving is to carry out the boycott of our away team - it a baby and bath-water thing now.

I don't give up easily, believe me, nor do I like jumped up Johnnies telling me or fellow supporters what we should do. You have my opinion, but I would always support your right to exercise yours, as long as it is legitimate.

Nobody asked or expected you to conform to an opinion. What you did was simply poo poo other opinions without offering your own. By the time you did, I gave little time or credence to your view due to the earlier negativity.

If you read the above posts they more than adequately prove that only did I offer an opinion, I also made the point that I explicitly respected those of others. It is sometimes necessary in debate to show the weakness in opposing views, but what the **** is wrong with that? These posts were very early in the thread and long, many hours, before you started yours claims against me. The board does not lie, read back and then apologise, because you are wrong, simple as.

..........

No need to post them, they're there for all to see. As I put before, you poo poo'd other opinions but added no solution yourself until later, by which time I just assumed it'd be just more negativity and childish abuse.

You won't change my opinion on your attitude on this thread and I'm not interested in changing yours and I suspect everyone else is bored ****less by it. I'm more than happy for anyone that gives a **** to read it and make their own judgement as they see fit. Not a lot more to be said really. just another thread ****ed up by a feeble pissing contest. :emoticon-0114-dull:

My answer is to go to a game of football and enjoy it .. after all I give no interest to restrictions etc as I have always followed official travel or gone in my own car with a few but if that was not allowed Id follow what was said .. im going to watch football .. not join a political discussion ffs .. football is not my life ... its a ****ing 1 day or 2 day a week hobby for 90 minutes ... obviously that's lost on a fair few here ...

so what team do you think we will put out ?

do you think gedo can get on it away from home?

do you think fathi will start ?

or shall we talk about rules that are set in stone so we can moan about being the "little guy" again ...

tis sad really

The opinions are there in the early posts, you just won't see them. This isn't a pissing contest, this is you making false allegations and not having the balls to accept you are wrong. It's finished and so is your credibility.

<yawn> The thread's all still there, let anyone that gives a **** make their own mind up. As I said, you won't change my opinion and I'll not try to change yours.
