Why am I getting the same sinking feeling as I got when we appointed Howard Wilkinson....

That was a crap appointment. I was talking to one of my mates in a shop and I was going on about how I didn't want John Gregory. Bloke behind the counter told me Wilkinson had the gig and I thought Gregory wouldn't have been so bad after all.

<laugh> Absolutely - HITC are one of the worst online news outlets I have ever come across - I read a headline on NewNow and then realise it's HITC so don't click it!!
Theyve taken this mornings Northern Echo article which isn't bad but mainly the authors opinion
and split it into a number of click bait headline grabbing posts. Crap site

The Ladbrokes market hasn't flinched since yesterday. Parkinson is still 1/3. It's a guaranteed 33% profit if you invest with your money, if you're so sure.
Training will be done now and players heading off soon
Be hard to keep a lid on it then.
So if markets don't change next hour or so probably just another rumour

But then again who knows

Just to hopefully keep some of my credibility, I posted that as it linked to the Northern Echo article I had briefly mentioned earlier:

I've literally just read it, but somehow already managed to forget the person's name, but a journalist just tweeted that the club are down to the final two candidates and expect an announcement within 24 hours. So perhaps some of the information you're being fed is disinformation now?

Edit: It was Scott Wilson of the Northern Echo.

Honestly, I usually read the Wall Street Journal and Financial Times...

Mate the way the club made out it was like santa’s Fireplace leading up to Xmas the amount of applicants they had, if it’s whittled down to these two :emoticon-0146-punch

I was in Whitburn working at the time and the fella who’s house it was nearly choked on his tea when we heard it on the radio... was fuming ... proved right to be in the end

I stuck a lump on Pearson when I was told he'd been offered the job, never thinking he'd turn it down.

If he has its because Donald doesn't want to offer a long contract, backing in January and any real commitment.

This is becoming a soap opera and I'm hoping to wake up from a coma.
Wow.
Is that what you have been led to believe re Pearson??

He has more voices in his head than a schizo's hospice

I've no idea who he is but I had a very similar message from a long term RTG poster who I'll be seeing at Wycombe.

He has no reason to lie so someone is deliberate passing duff info.

As I've said I'll keep away from it all and just sit back, Donald should've had a Ross replacement lined up.

Tomorrow will be 3 days until matchday at Wycombe ...

... as things stand Fowler will be in the dug out <doh>

Nice to see you made it over here Jack and agreed,
Said on the new manager thread,
Uninspiring if it is Parkinson and might point to takeover collapse but he can't be judged until he's got plenty games under his belt.

Whoever comes in hopefully does well but no good or sense writing anyone off before they start

Cheers Nig. Not a prolific poster but like to chip in now and again
