I’d have snapped your hand off for 2 points out of Blackburn, Boro and Leeds and we already have 3.
State of this place.

very much agree, he should have done more for the goal but Coyle is perhaps more culpable, he was marking ****ing Alfie Jones for some reason!I’m going to stick up for him - Kamara made us better when he came on.
Before his appearance we were struggling to get out. He brought some much needed width on the right and kept their defence far more occupied than Omur. He also regularly tracked back and appeared at LB when we needed him. The goal isn’t great but equally there’s a full back and a centre back there to defend who should have done better.
Bedia was a bigger issue. Pedro was dead on his feet and he offered no press or out ball when he came on.
all about results ATM, and we were 30s and one of Kamara or Coyle closing a cross down away from a point. I'd have sacrificed a performance today for a point.
Also, not sure we've got the players to play attractive football atm, our better players are looking tired and our options of the bench aren't amazing.....times in first half we tried to play it out was scary stuff, esp when it went left to Coyle/macca
I stick to what I said many times. There was nothing wrong with Walters style. He was given a pile of ****e to work with. And then, perhaps his biggest mistake, was that he didn't want to try and just tone it down a bit and try and make a compromise.Don’t care what anyone says, that style of football is infinitely worse than anything we’ve seen under Rosenior or Walter. Abysmal stuff. Said it after the Blackburn game, sending long ball after long ball after long ball is ****ing **** to watch. At least under Rosenior and Walter our players strung more than two passes together on the ground. Defending for 85 minutes is knackering and demoralising for players and unsustainable. We defended well for 93 minutes but in possession, we looked like a pub team.
We got so much worse when Pandur, Jones and McLoughlin started to lump it long to nobody. Put us under immense pressure for almost the entire game.
Players use more energy off the ball marking, tracking runs, pressing etc. than when they have possession. We let Boro have the ball and dictate the whole game.

Players crying because he shouted at them is pathetic. As HT2 and anyone else with a background in pro sport will know the players are getting softer. That goal tonight was another example of what happens when your team is soft to the core.
Portsmouth 27.6 % possession. Won 4-0.

Said it for ages he gets sucked in right next two his right centre back leaving acres on acres of space for wingers to operate in, but some say he's in the right position defending the width of the box. Seems he's good at defending people getting shouted at though apparently.very much agree, he should have done more for the goal but Coyle is perhaps more culpable, he was marking ****ing Alfie Jones for some reason!
And they created pretty much **** all. We aren’t going to dominate games with the forwards we have in the side. Every time we had a spell today, first half in particular, Burstow had a terrible touch or Puerta/Slater lost the ball.We got so much worse when Pandur, Jones and McLoughlin started to lump it long to nobody. Put us under immense pressure for almost the entire game.

There was nothing wrong with Wally's style except no one - players, staff or supporters - could understand it. Surprisingly teams like Millwall and Stoke have just passed up the opportunity to experience this great style for themselves - as will Plymouth and any other team in English football.
The goal we conceded tonight was another example of City players not being willing to do the dark arts side of the game. Kamara (too slow), Coyle or Jones should have chopped the winger's legs before he got anywhere near our penalty area
If? I get it. You're being positive. Some people (no names) will be suicidal if we lose to TWS
Does that mean we had more chance of scoring under TW..?Under Walter we had total xG of 20.8 in 17 games, so 1.22 average
For Selles first 5 games, we had 5.6 xG total, for a 1.12 average (which will presumably dip after today)
At least we can understand this style. No shots on target at home and defending for 85 minutes.
It’s understandably ****.
We are starting Burstow who’s an average striker on one wing. Omur on the other. Pedro who’s running on fumes as he’s the only forward with quality on and off the ball.At least we can understand this style. No shots on target at home and defending for 85 minutes.
