The thing is, under Walter the opposition really didnt know who they were picking up. We likely created more chances under him, someone will know the stats... of course the loss of Millar and Belloumi would be in those stats... when we lost them we were left with x 2 and a half championship players in Alzate and Puerta... and an ageing Pedro.

Under Walter we had total xG of 20.8 in 17 games, so 1.22 average

For Selles first 5 games, we had 5.6 xG total, for a 1.12 average (which will presumably dip after today)

I really don’t know what the strategy was today. Let Boro have the ball, sit deep and hoof it long whenever we got it back and play for a point? We were woeful. I thought Sellés’ style of football was high-pressing and attractive, quick attacking football? That was anything but.

I aren’t sure what you expect with that squad of fit players, I understand the point but that way of playing has picked us up some points when we shouldn’t have gotten any. I will withhold judgement till we have some reinforcements.

Think this is what we're going to get all season now. Inconsistency.

May or may not be enough, but we need a run at some point

And the two half time subs added nothing, maybe made us worse.

Boro are a very good team, our players aren’t great & skilful, the fact Omur starts & Bedia comes on shows what little we have at the club after major injuries.
Jarvis has already played for 2 teams, so unless he goes back to Ireland, he’s stuck in our U21’s, Sellars-Fleming, another one who I’d like to see instead of Bedia, but I suppose we have to get money’s worth out of him.

After the early brain fart moments trying to play it out from the back, I suspect the players became nervous, they aren't good enough to play it through a high organised press, so began to lump it. Don't forget Sellès has only had one full clear week to concentrate on training, it's been a very busy introduction to the start of his tenure with games coming thick and fast. Then will the mounting injury crisis, he has got us, in my opinion more competitive then at any time under Walter, he stopped the run of losses, and for 93 mins held the leagues free scorers at bay. I'm prepared to give the bloke time and a chance to impose his style, but he does need help from Acun in January.

I dont even think its that kamaras lazy
He was moving back

I think its a total lack of game awareness and/or naivety

Still inexcusable for a highly paid footballer

I’m going to stick up for him - Kamara made us better when he came on.

Before his appearance we were struggling to get out. He brought some much needed width on the right and kept their defence far more occupied than Omur. He also regularly tracked back and appeared at LB when we needed him. The goal isn’t great but equally there’s a full back and a centre back there to defend who should have done better.

Bedia was a bigger issue. Pedro was dead on his feet and he offered no press or out ball when he came on.

tHAT was DIRE....1st half we dragged them down to our level. 2nd half we were never at the races. It had 0-1 written all over it. Whoever allowed their bloke to waltz through wants fecking with a rags man's trumpet.....You would think we would have learned after Watford, but not Hull City!...For all those thinking we'd turned a corner, think again. I could be more caustic, but will give it a miss. Happy new Year....

Kamara is hopeless. Norwich have pulled our pants down big time and the panic at the end of the transfer window forced City's hand.
He has no passion to play for City and it smacks of someone that has got his contract in his back pocket and does not give a toss if City win, lose or draw as he gets paid regardless.
