I don't expect Brendan to be there too much longer. It's much harder for Celtic to make the Champions League group stages now with the new format, so he's not going to achieve anything new. But we'd probably have to wait until the end of the season to buy him.

I doubt we'd be seriously looking at anybody who would be demanding transfer funds - I don't think the club want that type of character in the role as they prefer somebody who will shut up and work on a shoestring, so whoever is managing the team is going to have to do it with the current, distinctly mediocre squad and little additional support.
Realistically, it might as well still be Hughes, because I can't see any contenders out there who are top notch coaches/man managers that would be willing to come and work at a basket case like Saints.

Perhaps we could persuade Pellegrino to come back!

We're worse defensively now, and haven't got enough goal threat to counter that. I don't know what or who the answer is, but I bet there's no queue of progressive, exciting managers beating a path to our door.
If Saints do sack Hughes, they'll either bring in a yes man or one of the usual suspects will rock up, maybe save us from relegation and then bugger off again. We can kick the can down the road for a while, but there needs to be radical changes in strategy and finance which I just don't see coming

Is that Mexico trip still in the planning stages?
