If I remember correctly Robbie Keane got sent off for preventing a goal with his chest, but the ball, by this tine heading away from the goal, brushed his arm. Penalty was extremely harsh but the red card was ludicrous

Until we win something it is an easy charge to make. I'm not even sure it is bollocks. You must log in or register to see media
I have seen some bollocks on the talksport twitter feed but this must take the biscuit and its not Durham either
We're winning games, our tactical plan can (usually...) be understood by people watching matches so the players obviously know what they're supposed to be doing, and there's no stories of the training pitch being a miserable place to be due to a combination of banning ketchup because of reasons and baffling tactical experiments that have the entire squad wondering whether or not the manager even knows who his players areUntil we win something it is an easy charge to make. I'm not even sure it is bollocks.

I was unclear. Of course we are better shape now. I meant the charge of serial bottlers is harder to refute.Under Ramos
In 2007-08 we won 19 drew 13 lost 11 in all competitions.
In the league it was won 11 drew 9 lost 8 that's 42 points in 28 games which is 1.5 points per game.
In 2008-09 we won 2 drew 3 lost 7 in all competitions.
In the league it was won 0 drew 2 lost 6
that's 0.25 points per game.
In total it was 21 won 16 draws 18 lost.
In the league it was 11 won 11 drew lost 14.
From 1st March 2008 (after winning the league cup) our record was
7 wins 8 draws 11 loses in all competitions and in the league only it was :
won 3 drew 7 lost 10 which is 16 points in 20 matches or 0.8 points per match.
Yep I can see the journalistic research work carried out by talksport was in depth and accurate![]()
Agreed. My reply was poorly phrased. See my reply above this. The timing is rubbish if nothing else Ramos was sacked in October 2008 and as we know we only had 2 pts when Harry took over!
I would suggest that very few clubs have made the progress we have in the last 10 years (City and Bournemouth have). Whilst its true that we haven't won a trophy in that time, we have qualified for Europe via our league position in every season since the one Ramos left us. We have had 4 seasons in the champions league a competition we had not played in its current format before, and finished in the top 6, with 3 top 3 finishes in the last 3 so yes I think we have had progress in the last 10 years

To be fair to him, he described us as pathetic in comparison to now, saying we no longer are. We have rolled over to his Man Utd teams way too often for us to dismiss his characterisation. Not one Spurs fan was ever comfortable at 2-0 up until Poch came along.Listening to talk ****e this morning they had Gary nevilles rant from after the man city game he described spurs over the last 30 years as pathetic spineless useless. Ok Gary how about your managerial career in Spain that was useless and your failed night club shut down and your restaurant about to close may I suggest you concentrate on your own affairs and leave our club alone.TWAT

I get your point to some extent but we had a lot of quality players over the last 30 years and it's an insult to players like ledley king to even come out with those remarksTo be fair to him, he described us as pathetic in comparison to now, saying we no longer are. Absolutely. We have had great players and teams in those years. He may be guilty of exaggerating the past 30 years to make his point. Two particular losses to Utd from 2-0 up probably inform his memory more than they should.I get your point to some extent but we had a lot of quality players over the last 30 years and it's an insult to players like ledley king to even come out with those remarks
