If I remember correctly Robbie Keane got sent off for preventing a goal with his chest, but the ball, by this tine heading away from the goal, brushed his arm. Penalty was extremely harsh but the red card was ludicrous

It was never a handball. Hit him square in the chest. Graham Poll doing his usual **** job. The ****.
One of Berbatov's best games for us. He was absolutely furious and ran his arse off to make up for Keane's absence.
    Absolutely demolished them.

Until we win something it is an easy charge to make. I'm not even sure it is bollocks.

We're winning games, our tactical plan can (usually...) be understood by people watching matches so the players obviously know what they're supposed to be doing, and there's no stories of the training pitch being a miserable place to be due to a combination of banning ketchup because of reasons and baffling tactical experiments that have the entire squad wondering whether or not the manager even knows who his players are

So, yes, we are doing a hell of a lot better than we were under Ramos

The timing is rubbish if nothing else Ramos was sacked in October 2008 and as we know we only had 2 pts when Harry took over!

I would suggest that very few clubs have made the progress we have in the last 10 years (City and Bournemouth have). Whilst its true that we haven't won a trophy in that time, we have qualified for Europe via our league position in every season since the one Ramos left us. We have had 4 seasons in the champions league a competition we had not played in its current format before, and finished in the top 6, with 3 top 3 finishes in the last 3 so yes I think we have had progress in the last 10 years

What're the odds that Harry & Meghan will have to let their minder go once they return from their trip thanks to the creepy obsession that several of our papers have with her (which certainly have nothing to do with her being tall, blonde, and wearing high heels) due to the obvious security issues that stem from splashing photos of her across every single article?

    Under Ramos
In 2007-08 we won 19 drew 13 lost 11 in all competitions.
In the league it was won 11 drew 9 lost 8 that's 42 points in 28 games which is 1.5 points per game.
In 2008-09 we won 2 drew 3 lost 7 in all competitions.
In the league it was won 0 drew 2 lost 6
    that's 0.25 points per game.

In total it was 21 won 16 draws 18 lost.
In the league it was 11 won 11 drew lost 14.

From 1st March 2008 (after winning the league cup) our record was
7 wins 8 draws 11 loses in all competitions and in the league only it was :
won 3 drew 7 lost 10 which is 16 points in 20 matches or 0.8 points per match.

Yep I can see the journalistic research work carried out by talksport was in depth and accurate <laugh>

I was unclear. Of course we are better shape now. I meant the charge of serial bottlers is harder to refute.

Agreed. My reply was poorly phrased. See my reply above this.

To be honest SD I was digging out talksport not you mate.

They do this ****e cos dumbasses ring in or text in making talksport money.
They make moronic statements simply to piss people off so they contact the station.

On Tuesday they claimed that West Ham should have had a penalty v us for a Harry Winks tackle and used it as an example of how big clubs get all the decisions in their favour completely ignoring that West Ham should have had a player sent off for assaulting Moura but we weren't even given a free kick and not retrospective action has been taken.

The Sun are routinely criticised for this practise, so the BBC should be for doing the exact same thing

Listening to talk ****e this morning they had Gary nevilles rant from after the man city game he described spurs over the last 30 years as pathetic spineless useless. Ok Gary how about your managerial career in Spain that was useless and your failed night club shut down and your restaurant about to close may I suggest you concentrate on your own affairs and leave our club alone.TWAT

To be fair to him, he described us as pathetic in comparison to now, saying we no longer are. We have rolled over to his Man Utd teams way too often for us to dismiss his characterisation. Not one Spurs fan was ever comfortable at 2-0 up until Poch came along.

It's worth pointing out this is the full quote

"They are looking after the long-term future by building the new stadium. Tottenham for 30 years of our lives were spineless and soft, flaky, rubbish, you could be 2-0 down against them and think you would win 5-2. That's just the way they were. You knew that one little bump during the game and they would fall over it. Now we have the toughest, robust, most resilient Tottenham team that we have seen and we shouldn't get tired of them and saying they have to do this…"

If anyone should be slated it's Jamie Carragher because what he was saying mainly consisted of parroting the same old Narratives, repeatedly failing to grasp the fact we're not in a financial position to go out and spend £50m on a bunch of £100k+ a week players in one window, and believing that we paid £600m for the NEW ST/\DIUM in one lump sum four years ago - which is why the Neville comment that really needs to be repeated everywhere from their "discussion" is this one

Neville: What part of spending £500-£600m on a stadium do you not understand?

Carragher: Why do you keep saying £500-£600m?

Neville: What's it going to cost? It's not going to cost them a tenner?!

I get your point to some extent but we had a lot of quality players over the last 30 years and it's an insult to players like ledley king to even come out with those remarks

Absolutely. We have had great players and teams in those years. He may be guilty of exaggerating the past 30 years to make his point. Two particular losses to Utd from 2-0 up probably inform his memory more than they should.
