Well, as an exercise in bringing Sunderland fans together and firmly and squarely behind a signing that had split our camp, this couldnt be bettered. There is noting that unites an opposing army more, than to read or hear the disparaging words from an opponent. I think not only will Graham react to shove Pardeaux words back down his throat (and I agree 100% this should be printed out and put over his peg when we play the filth over there) but the Sunderland fans will unite behind the player now as well. Its okay for us to have a pop at him but not the opposition. He's ours now and like it or lump it we must get behind our lad in this battle. Its highly insulting and unprofessional (no surprises there then I guess) for an opposition manager to single out another player like this and thankfully we have a classy professional manager in charge of our club not a back street barrow boy out of his depth. Grahams potential signing definately split our camp and left many of us unhappy or angered but surely this is a defining moment and Pardeaux has just done SAFC, Danny Graham and us as supporters the biggest favour he ever could have possibly dreamed of.
The article title does not have speech marks in. It makes reference to a quote from Pardew, but is not the actual quote and is actually a distorted take on what he said. He didn't say that at all. Also, it's the Jarrow and Hebburn Gazette... He probably never said any of this to begin with
All he has said is Graham isn't as good a player as Remy and he's right. You should be thanking Pards if anything, even the Sunderland fans who know Graham isn't very good are sticking up for him now!
I can just hear him in this caption talking to his lass on the phone - "EIGHT ****ING YEARS......THEY'VE GIVEN ME EIGHT ****ING YEARS...... WHO'D HAVE BELIEVED IT AND HERES ME, I WAS UNEMPLOYABLE AND COULDNT RUN A ****ING BATH" .............This just before he rang his wife afterwards. His is a face you would just love to puch until your knuckels burst. Cheesy, smarmy cockney barrow boys run nufc. I bet the craas just love having so many pig ignorant, crass cockney wideboys running their club but then again they suit each other so well, they probably do. Thank **** for Ellis and Martin.
Just for you and Jonny.... He told The Gazette; âYou always want another striker. I want Man Unitedâs position, (Robin) Van Persie, (Wayne) Rooney, (Javier) Hernandez and (Danny) Welbeck â that would be nice! But we havenât got that. When we lost out on Remy, it was pretty evident that we werenât going to get a big striker. Theyâre pretty difficult to get over the line. You look around now, and nobody apart from Remy has really moved, maybe Danny Graham, but I donât think heâs at that level. I think thatâs something weâll look at in the summer." I'd say it's pretty clear that Pardeaux thinks only 'Big' strikers are good enough for Newcastle. He's obviously in for VDV in the summer
Call them what you will but they're making fools out of most other clubs with some of the transfer dealings. Yours very much included. Pardew has an uncanny knack of getting right under Sunderland fans skins, it's amazing
2011-2012 season, league goals: Remy got 12, Graham got 12 2012-2013 season, league goals: Remy got 1 (0 in France, 1 in UK), Graham got 3 So yes, I can see where you get your facts from, Remy's massively better!
Get another striker in in the summer? they might not be in the premier league!. look at Everton ONE player signed that is a joke, they could make the champions league. If we are in that position a year from now i hope a least 3 top quality players would be added just in case of injuries etc. If we did do it then the big money would have to be spent. And Danny graham is at that level as he has scored against premier teams.
Says the suporter of a club embroilled in a relegation fight by the managers own words? I think this will backfire enormously and unite both player and fans from SAFC to get behind their new striker quicker and a lot more than maybe they would have and especially in the derby. Even one of your own has called him a thick **** for these comments. If he did score in the derby and he will never have more of a motivation now will he, we shall see who's skin is more 'got under' wont we? Love the current NE top team
Pardew is such a muppet, he probably thinks newcastle are still in a "different league" to Everton as well.
It's pretty clear, surely even to yourself, that he has not explicitly said "he is not at Newcastle's level". The rest you and the gazette have put in his mouth out of some twisted desire to hype up the story At the basic level, what he's said is still pretty insulting to Graham, and very stupid as far as I can see. Is Remy a level above Graham? Most probably, but he still shouldn't be giving Sunderland's strikers motivation, or their crowd a common enemy when they're bickering amongst themselves. What.A.Penis.
I think Remy is overrated personally. The mags dodged a bullet there, if you ask me. Graham is a handy player, but we'll have a better idea of his real value soon enough. But if Fletcher cost £12m then £5m for DG is a sensible price.
Inference Gandalf, inference. One does not have to be explicit in one's words to imply their true intentions
