Yeah there where a few strikers who moved this window who we could maybe have gone in for. I'm pretty sure we will be in the market again in January
You can loan Hulk for 10 mil!!!!!

i'd the the only fools is dubbed.
one win and one player and he's suddenly appearing having vanished. that's an instant credibility loss even if he'd not been so silly on suarez.
basically arsenal's defense and keeper have it all to prove and while giroud is decent the options to rest/replace when he's not going well are slightly limited.
all the best.....
ozil is pure class but you keep telling us carzorla and wilshire are too so which is getting dropped or moved to accommodate?

That question has already been answered repeatedly. Cazorla will play on the left (which he has been doing in Podolski's absence anyway). He is quality comming in off the flank. And so no-one will need to be dropped.
Once again. These clowns have no clue. They don't watch any other teams outside their club yet they're this vocal about it.
I'd go far as saying as a n.10 (such as they are these days), he is second to only iniesta (of course, this is a personal opinion, albeit backed up by quite a significant number of people, including, I believe, mourinho). As anyone that watched as on a consistent basis, and not just relying on the medias/general consensus, we really struggled to create opportunities last year, far too much burden was placed on cazorla. The games evolved away from a pure DM in the mould of the invisible wall, nowadays all player s must continue offensively, and with arteta coming back, Ramsey currently the best 'b2b' midfielder (on form atm), and wilshere being groomed (I believe) to stay back and be our terrier, özil could be just what we needed. Admittedly, I initially would have preferred DiMaria and cabaye, but one factor I did not take into account was the massive status jump this signing will give us, akin to the bergkamp one, in that we will once again be seen as a genuine option for top players.Ozil is a top quality player, there aren't many better than him IMO but this is far from a quality signing. You clearly need defensive players, a combative midfielder and (IMO) and keeper too. Your team has improved slightly because Ozil is better than anything else you have in that position but would have significantly improved had the £42m been spent on a CB and DM instead.
It's absolutely hilarious how Scousers of all people can doubt and question Arsenal. Focus on your own below par side who'll probably finish 7th again. What? You think you're gonna win the league now?![]()

Don't think once you have come on here and not generalized, not insulted, and use the same "clowns" and "idiots" in everything you post. Pushing it....
Okay, simple question for the Arsenal fans...
Would you consider the summer transfer window a successful one for Arsenal?
I think it's been fairly successful. We have cleared out all of the deadwood (which we have been calling for the club to do for ages). We have kept hold of all our players for the first time in years. We have added the only World Class player to join the league this window. We have added squad depth at GK, RB/DM, AM and brought in a youth guy who may or may not make it.
Other than bringing in a striker and possibly a back-up utility defender, i think we have improved in the areas we needed to.
And i think we have a match-day squad that now rivals any team in the league. If we can se ourselves through to January ok and then make the last couple of additions we need i can see us having a very good season.
So on a scale starting at failure and ending in success i'd say it has tilted towards successful.

For a long time a lot of Arsenal fans have wanted another AM player who is able to play on one of the wings (Isco was the name thrown around most), especially as Rosicky is heading into the latter end of his career. So yes it was an area people wanted another man. There where justo ther areas that needed improving as well. We gutted a lot of deadwood from the squad so needed a few players (which we didn't get all of).
astroturfnaught the resident Liverpool board arsehole, negative repped me for this comment. Literally anytime i come over to your board i have a good conversation with a handful of your posters and then this dick comes along and ruins the good vibe around your board.

though I'm very biased) this is so vital that I can't see how you can dismiss it to one sentence. You're relying on Sagna, Gibbs, Verm and Koscielny all season, or until January. If any of them get injured, who steps in? Jenkinson? I feel bad for him as he only gets a chance when Arsenal are in crisis - but he's not adequate. Monreal? Okay but still a weak spot. You're very light up front as well.I've repped you for the sake of continuing this debate normally.
While I agree Ozil is the best player signed this season (Other than possibly Joveticthough I'm very biased) this is so vital that I can't see how you can dismiss it to one sentence. Ox and Pod are out for a while, Walcott hasn't replicated his form from parts of last season, and Giroud is inevitably going to dry up or get injured at some point. I honestly think you shouldn't be blinded by Ozil - Wenger needs to fix a lot more and he has used Ozil as a smokescreen, buying him some time.
