We haven't lost any to Tottenham YET!! And to be honest the only player we've got atm who I don't think is going anywhere is Rodrigues. Would be a crazy signing with the injury he's got, especially at the price we'll want.
They can say no to him though, unless he's some kind of master-hypnotist? So what if he said that - none of them (yet) have joined him?
I don't see why he would do this unless he decided he hates Saints. Tapping them up to join him at Spurs, fair enough. Telling them just to leave the club for no gain for himself just to spite Saints? Seems a bit far fetched
I didn't say he asked them all to join him did I? He 'maybe' stirred the players just enough to get them to want leave.
Sure, perhaps I'm giving the players too much credit to expect them to be capable of independent thought!
I was fine until this weekend but Jay and Chambers is just too far for me. I can't think of a single team in our position that have sold this amount of players, something's going on.
Is this your trusted source suggesting that..? I'm not disagreeing, as I have to admit, he's been right many times.
Surely we can reject for now on the basis that a medical (I don't know exactly what they entail), could hamper his recovery / he could break down and a deal would fall through? Or is a medical purely testing for underlying conditions rather than current fitness? However if Saints get 20m + for a player who wouldn't have been able to play for us for minimum first 2 months of the season and then need to get back to business I wouldn't be surprise if the board sells. Especially when you consider that he only has 18 months left on his contract and doesn't seem like he will sign a new one (and probably, like all the others, will ask to leave for minimum double wages) If a replacement is sorted it could be one of the more sensible pieces of business, top scorer last season or not (a big IF I know)
I said who knows what else he 'may' have been up to. That doesn't mean tapping up that means other stuff like **** stirring etc.
DTLW told me about Rodriguez( ask him) and I was told about Lallana a few on Saintweb saw them as well.
You'd like to think some have got a brain or half decent advisors. In the case of Chambers which is the one I find hard to stomach (even tho on Jay thread). A great academy prospect with barely one season experience, going to Arsenal where he may well struggle to get a game??
Strange that Liverpool should be linked for Jay when Remi has just failed a medical!! I don't believe it.
Too many departures to be just about money, something more underlying than money. I don't see Ings or anybody else for that matter rushing down the M3 for more money, they'd get flattened by the stampede going up there!!
Money, Cortese leaving after he created such a good team bond(basically treating them great, promising CL etc, not saying that's a bad thing until he left). Then you add Pochettino stirring **** as well it all adds up.
I'm starting to get really fed up of the whole 'x amount for him in this scenario is good business'. Yeah some of the deals in isolation could be seen as good but selling over half your (sucessfull) first team is NOT good business... it's a quick ticket to a dog fight...
