Sorry Bob but that's the last thing the team needs. Emotions are running high right now and it'll be the same at the match tomorrow. The team needs backing to the hilt and show Neil what he's missing. If Norwich get an early goal it could go toxic very quickly and a stunning in the pitch
No I mean catch spunkman at the main entrance.
Give the team everything support wise

Ah well that’s the seasons wheels well and truely off

there’s a cancer at this club thought we had cut it out but it’s still there. Why is it any positivity is instantly drained.

Shocked by this announcement but given our recent history not surprised. There has to be a period of reflection for the owners and something has to change.

Exactly, if there's a prospective new manager watching we need to show what a great club we are.

Maybe it shouldn't, but it will. The last manager to last more than a season was Bruce, over ten years ago, and he was a rarity.

Outsiders will notice. Many changes of ownership, and still a revolving door. It is pathetic. I'd like to think it wasn't, as its us, but this can't be made to look good.

We are a behaving like a feeder club to a club half our true size. And that is the awful truth.
If you say so, no doubt you'll say you're being a realist, but to me you're being a right pessimist. All imo of course

I hope tomorrow the fans let spunkman know what most of us think
What do most of us think? I personally think if O’Neil has walked out for Stoke he has a serious lack of ambition and we need to move on, support both the team and the club management to keep us moving forward. Managers come and go, he was good but there are plenty of good managers out there.

Very much this. If it was a Premier League club fair enough, but ****ing Stoke????

Yes. There are plenty of managers out there. And they all want the same thing, job security, not a ten month shot.

The club's position is completely incoherent, and just because it's our club doesn't mean we should ignore it.

The laughter on here from all of us would be deafening if it were many another club.

On the one hand the club say that they are " committed to retaining the services of Alex Neill as Head coach". On the other they have given him a contract which allows him, at any time he chooses to speak to another club.

Farce doesn't do it justice. Neill has been treat like an easy to replace worker bee. He isn't. The manager is the most important man at any club. Not some bloke like Speakman, who doesn't have to publicly justify his actions.

If Neil has total control over transfers there we'll see who we could've had.

Ironically the Stoke fans were saying Sunderland played dreadful football on Saturday ...

... 'worse than Pulis' some said <laugh>
Oh they will have flip flopped back from that.

Others are saying that the club were happy to honour the contract but not the transfer policy. Just saying.....

Which contract though? A one year rolling deal which allows him to speak to another club anytime he chooses?

It would hardly make you feel wanted.
