He’s just been sitting there with us until more money came along
And we weren’t giving him it
Maybe he was brought in not for the long term
And he has given us an easy way to get rid of him I realy hope we have some one waiting in the wings to be appointed
I say again maybe wishful thinking

Every major club in the world operates this model. Speakman does take the responsibility for the recruitment and reports to KLD on that.

The average tenure of a football manager is 477 days. It would be a ridiculous business model to allow every manager control over transfers.

But, really, how can you possibly "improve" on a manager like Neill, when the next manager, or coach, will defy all the odds to last even a year, will have a bloke behind the scenes wielding power without public scrutiny and responsibility, will either be unemployed, ( which madman would leave a job for here?) or be a complete novice who will grab the chance.

The " model" is NOT the be all and end all. The team is. Results are. By all means have a direction of travel, but everything, including any model, should bend to that requirement.

There can be no sugar coating this. It as an appalling and telling day for the club.

Not blaming speakman for this. Neil knew the conditions when he took the job.

Club statement says club want him to stay, Neil is using this to get more money (he'll chose whichever club offers him the most). He would do this regardless of whether he was on a rolling contract or a 4 year one.

I'd like to say he's a twat, but there is no loyalty in this game anymore. His loss if he has gone, we have a much bigger potential than Stoke will ever have imo.

We're in a healthy position to recruit a new head coach

Just remember the inchoate chaos when Johnson was sacked, and ask if there us likely to be any idea of what to do next.
There is a bluffer in the decision making seat. He gets the big things wrong.

Why should ge not want more money. We all do.

And I do not think we are in a good position at all. Outsiders will look and see ten months in a job. Good ones will dodge it.

For one thing we are not a major club, much as I'd like to think so.

Secondly, recruitment is one thing, total control is another.

Don't worry Bob. The team, results, us, managers and the rest are all expendable.
    It's the process that counts.

I'm not saying he shouldn't, read my post again. I'd like to call him atwat for doing it, but I'm not

Good position in terms of start to life in championship (results and position), good core squad etc. Neil left on his own accord (if confirmed), we didn't sack him, do length of his term won't count against us imo

In light of what is literally happening today I can't believe anyone would advocate any other approach.

It would be equally ridiculous to deny him a say. He has hundreds of games experience at this level. His voice should be heard, and sometimes be listened to above all others.

Surely KLD is having serious words with Speakman right now.

He has been away again, I hope the fans get behind the team, but when he shows up at the front entrance, give him ****.

Maybe it shouldn't, but it will. The last manager to last more than a season was Bruce, over ten years ago, and he was a rarity.

Outsiders will notice. Many changes of ownership, and still a revolving door. It is pathetic. I'd like to think it wasn't, as its us, but this can't be made to look good.

We are a behaving like a feeder club to a club half our true size. And that is the awful truth.

Especially when there's always a chance they'll leave, no matter what contract they have ...

... various managers have left us with a boatload of useless unsaleable mercenaries.

I don't ever want to go back to that.

Sorry Bob but that's the last thing the team needs. Emotions are running high right now and it'll be the same at the match tomorrow. The team needs backing to the hilt and show Neil what he's missing. If Norwich get an early goal it could go toxic very quickly and a drubbing on the pitch
