We were talking about that a few posts up. On the positive side the christmass thing was obviously just sarcastic as the article says Bruce added: "He's still going to be a few weeks away but he's making good progress. I would hope he's joining in with the group by the end of next week." Not to bad really all things considered.

How did Gedo get to be out of the country (after we signed him) and not allowed back in without a Visa when he has been here all summer training, and was here at the Norwich game.
He wasnt really training as much as he was in rehab after his surgery. I think that his contract with us covered that. When that was over I would guess his visa expired.
His working visa for his last loan would have expired on the last day of June, he may have had a short working visa/extension or a different, possibly holiday, visa to cover his rehab. I would guess its the second as I can't see us having paid his wages once his loan contract finished. Either way, neither visa would have covered him into this season.
I think Gedo will be a huge plus once he's up to match fitness. We forget how good he looked and what a goal grabber he was with head and foot (5 in 12 games) before he got injured. He'll be desperate to show that was no fluke and I'd expect SB to put him in there with Aluko. His goal scoring record in Egypt's internationals is very impressive.
5 goals in 6 games, he was obviously carrying an injury after that as he didn't look the same player. I think he'd have finished off the first alf chance Graham missed. A natural goal poacher
