He won some good headers last Season and held his own when in possession against pretty strong and nifty defenders - The goal he scored against Birmingham for example when he out-muscled the defender and ran straight through on goal. Good strength, balance, determination and composure. 4 very good traits for a striker to have.

Obviously people will be sceptical about his potential in the Premier League, but sometimes you have to take those risks to unearth a gem (Michu for example). Gedo has always stated his desire about wanting to play in the top-flight so he clearly has the hunger to succeed and prove himself.

I guess my puns were too subtle... <laugh>

He's got to have at least 16 Bravery and Aggression and he showed he has some Off The Ball, Finishing, Technique and Work Rate too.

I don't want to agitate on this issue or get into a spin as I'm sure it'll all come out in the wash - but I am very happy to see Gedo back.

I get all the stuff about not being a proven Premier league player but look how quickly some players go from having relative success in the Prem to almost complete wastes of space.
At least with Gedo we have all seen what he can do when fit and I'm hoping he'll turn out a handful for opposition defences and continue to take his chances as he obviously has done throughout his career. (Mind you, my credibility may be a little lacking as I still hold out hope for Proschwitz).
Anyway, I'm glad he's back and his presence may even help to bring out the best in Elmo.

Completely agree. He has all the attributes of a top striker and I'd start him over Graham any day. Look forward to seeing him partnered with Aluko...speed, strength, and aggression. Should be goals there. Really chuffed that we've got him back and I'm sure Elmo is delighted. Gedo really wanted to be back with us and he'll be a lot more active out there than Graham. He'll soon prove himself at this level.

I think Graham had a decent game against Man City. Much improved from Chelsea and Norwich.

Not sure about starting Gedo but if you look at our bench against Man City, when we went 1-0 down, who was there to change the game? Gedo would've been a great option, always got a goal in him and for that reason I'm delighted he's back.

But I can't think of any washing-related jokes.

I'm glad we missed out on long, not only asda price was too high, I think Gedo is a very similar but better player anyway.
