I bet Merc would as well

The more I see of the floor the more I wonder about how the wider bit in the middle influences the downforce balance. i.e. move it back and more rear downforce move it forward and more front end?
It's almost like Merc have too much downforce when they run at the low ride height they would like too. I wonder how they can either bleed off the suction when it gets too low or maybe tweak the dampers to try and limit the speed of oscillation but would that have an impact on fast chicanes and changes or direction.
It must be a lot more complex than that, but without being able to reproduce it in a controlled environment it must be so difficult to work on a solution.
As soon as they work out how to stop the bouncing and run low ride height I believe Merc will be so much quicker.
