Not as good a solution as not making unfunny incest jokes in the first place, TBH. If you go to a Frankie Boyle gig, you can expect offensive jokes and if you don't like them; don't go. But this is a football forum where people come to natter about footy. There's a difference and coming over all worldly-wise about it does not change the fact that people should reasonably expect not to be confronted with that sort of stuff.

I for one will cheerfully ban it <ok>

The NSFW idea is similar to me suggesting Frankie Boyle not go round your house.

Let's face it, if we're talking expectations, you expect banter on a football forum, or it'd be boring. Incest jokes aren't meant to be serious, but the way you guys react you'd think we should be legitimately concerned.

If you can't hack it on your board, like I said to GC, fine, it'll encourage me to diversify my material, but on our board, where we can take a joke, it's fair game. Really, if you lot were so much more mature, you could have had a civil discussion about it before whining and banning people. Just my two cents.
 
Can we not create a thread full of incest jokes and then save them all up for when we play Boro again. Is it a bad time to joke about this, sorry couldn't help it.

Honest question is there a difference to singing about incest to writing about it. I have been away to Boro singing shag ya sister and u know the rest I'm sure, glitter is ya dad and all that. So there is kids at a match.

Not trying to be a smart arse but to be fair is there a difference?

It's only tags, most don't even know they are there let alone read them.

I get loads written about myself, notice Smug does also, but don't hear any bleating about it..

Seems certain folks have got their knickers in a twist over nothing.

Maybe they should step down as mods then they can tag incest jokes as much as the like.

I knew it was mods (Actually expecting it to just be ACS) and played them like a good un. I don't want them banned. Just think Mods should behave responsibly.


People in Authority Bullying. It's goes against my principles. So I'm going to pipe up. The amount of times I've been nicked for telling coppers they're out of order. If you don't like my viewpoints Com then that's just unlucky for you. But it seems many others find them ethically and morally corrupt too, even to the point they've requested bans. <ok>

As for banning people for writing some , it's mental.

Hacky sack (warm pouch) has been coming onto this board for years, and to get banned for typing some tags, just seems a bit ott to me. He's a dirty ****ing nag basher, and he won't mind people telling him so..

Beyond tagging though isn't it? Nasty personal messages in the nag rep and ACS likes to PM folk to bully. I agree there shouldn't be any banning. But that wasn't my intention. If I had a teenage daughter/son on here I'd be expecting them to do their job in protecting them, not lead the charge of bullies. If they stepped down they can troll to their hearts content. They're not even intelligent to understand their role fella. There'll be plenty more tagging abuse too, but they're not mods are they? They want to raise hell and play Mediator at the same time. It's backward fella.

My problem is really that these incest comments aren't funny.
It's just the same relentless 'Sunderland supporters have sex with their relatives' ****.

I explained to the Judean person that it was upsetting to keep making these cracks to me as my sister has recently died of a brain tumour in her 40's. He decided that, as he never knew her, it was nothing personal and carried on.

ACS not only thought that was hilarious but joined in.

The fact that Judean calls this ****e 'my material' shows how sad he is.

I've no idea what these people get out of life.
 
I think it shows how jealous they are of our board. I don't think our mods would do anything like this. It's just embarrassing for the Geordie board.

Well that's comparing apples with oranges... I mean incest jokes are obvious Micky taking, kiddy fiddling is a personal attack, if you can't distinguish, it doesn't surprise me, as we only ever take the piss as a retaliation to pathetic comments, or threads where a bit of craic is implied. It's not like we interrupt a thread just to say it before running off going "teeheehee how clever are we"...

Now, I and the vast majority on our board have never alleged anything as vile as kiddy-fiddling against you lot, yet you have posters on here who have directed that, offers of fights and homophobic abuse at our members, yet they post freely. Priorities, my man.

And Smug, using dead relatives to win an internet debate is sick, and so is pretending that someone is directly referencing a bereavement in a joke.

You can say what you like, but the sort of thing we're talking about is simply unnecessary on a football forum as there are umpteen way to take the piss out of each other without sinking to that sort of level. In any event, people earn the right to take the piss on a forum. If you establish a rapport with posters on a board, like jimileysbaldhead or Sombrero have done, you can come on and cheerfully take the piss. Quite a lot of your lot just steam in with the piss-taking from the off and then bitch about getting knocked back, because people assume they're on the wum. Yet we're "sensitive" when we don't like the sort of crap you describe as "your material"?

And smug is not one to use a dead relative in any way, particularly his sister, "to win an internet debate". I think your last comment on that was beneath contempt. I don't have a problem with you, personally, but if that's the way you think I expect it's only a matter of time.

I think that many on here seem to forget that most Mags are complete and utter morons with no sense of any morals..We should make allowances for this when reading and responding to their posts..
