I can't post it on here, as we're already stretching the politics rule to the limit, but that's unavoidable, given the authorities are, whether intentionally or through naive ignorance, supporting a political movement, but you could just educate yourself by looking for some of Kemi Badenoch's comments on this. :emoticon-0105-wink:

What sort of patronising **** is that? Think I'm an ignorant, uneducated colonial ?
I happen to watch Politics Live, Question Time and UK News channels daily (or weekly the latter). She has appeared on a couple of them I seem to recall. I've seen her on PM's Question Time too. I'm an avid watcher of Andrew Neil & Andrew Maher political programs.

She has her stance on the subject. Exactly how well received is it ? Do you believe in her position on the issues ?

You’re nine times more likely to be stopped and searched in England and Wales if you’re black and nineteen times more likely in London,
I, and many others, get stopped and frisked ( searched) and probably captured on CCTV somewhere, at every Hull City away game. I have been refused entry and threatened with arrest if I refused to be stopped and frisked ( searched). It has gone on for years.
For the life of me can I remember the last time someone was murdered, stabbed, robbed or even prosecuted for carrying an offensive weapon at a football match ?
But you are 100 times more likely to be stopped and searched at a football match in England and Wales then anyone else going anywhere ?

A lot of persecution in Muslim countries, a lot of Muslims are persecuted against in China. A lot of black people are persecuted by other black people in Africa. Yet people aren't taking the knee for them. A bit racist.
I didn't think you were so dim to relate other situations worldwide to argue against the efforts being made by sincere UK footballers. There's a logic disconnect I feel.

That's racists' problem then, not the problem of victims of racism. Oppressed people aren't obligated to ask their oppressors and persecutors politely to stop oppressing them. They do have the obligation to fight back though.

What about folk in the middle (the large majority?) who are neither racist nor anti-racist , and don't have strong entrenched ideas on the matter?

They just want to see their team play, and are sick of people hijacking their hobby, their pastime and their leisure interest to project a political message from another sport in another country.

The stance where she says it's breaking the law to advocate them in schools? Or that "There is absolutely nothing wrong with rejecting BLM's regressive, nasty, divisive politics". Seems pretty clear to me that her views got through the rigours of Parliament, and are backed by law. Yet here are the football bods pressing ahead.

Seems you disagree with a black lady that's educated and experienced in the subject and supported by the UK Government, and you also disagree the former head of the Campaign for Racial Equality who has spent most of his life looking in to such issues.

Hmm, now should I side with them, or you that so far has offered nothing much at all? It's a tricky one and no mistake.

15 seconds max before k.o. !
They're all pissed anyway. Stupid argument that suits your attitude to the problem.

How the hell can you conclude I disagree with her views from what I've said ever on this subject. Strange conclusions you come to. I'm most obviously supporting the elimination of prejudice & racism - so maybe it's your mirror you're reflecting.

You're not really bringing much to the party are you?

Oh, and by the way, you were wrong when you said it's only a few seconds at the start, it's flagged up before, during and after the game. :emoticon-0105-wink:

I only watch the highlight reel.
Exactly what are you bringing to the party ? Other than totally misreading my position - just because I've questioned you.
You're not a defense lawyer are you ?

You should have gone to away games on a motorcycle, as well as all the above refused entry to hotels, b+bs campsites and pubs because of the form of transport you used and the clothes you wore.

You clearly aren't. Do you actually have any points at all that you're prepared to back up with something, or are you just flapping your tongue?

That's pretty much what people are saying. <ok>

Very Alanis Morrisette.

No politics on this forum as it's divisive ....yet a political gesture before each and every game, and that's not seen as potentially divisive?!?

Any old irony as they say in East London

Back up what ?
I'm using a keyboard.
Do you ever answer a question ?

A mod has spoken to a mod. Good step.
