Your opinion is meaningless as you are a proven bigot.

You have shown yourself to be an advocate for a demonstrably racist organisation, I have shown that my views are well aligned with people that have dedicated most of their life to tackling discrimination and racism.

Now, as your 'insults' are blunt, feel free to offer something of worth to the discussion.

Thats a fair point, people are attaching baggage and that should be considered but how? excluding those that genuinely aren't racist, wont the remaining people that oppose always find some sort of attachment to be able to justify views in a more PC way? very few people would just blatantly admit it?

    No politics.

    Ta.

I appreciate it's difficult as the Authorities have forced politics on to us, but I avoided posting the views of politicians to try to keep with the board guidelines.

That is a distinct possibility, and a point I readily accept.

In my opinion, removing the clearly divisive phrase, and openly condemning the organisation would leave such people with nowhere to hide.

We had the kick it out campaign for years, and it didn't cause this sort of division. It needs a simple, clear message, and it should also make clear that football is playing a small part in taking its responsibility for what is societies problem.

I object to this accusation, you are getting offensive Benjamin.

Okay, I think most people have now had their say, and it's going to make the 'no politics' rule harder to enforce in the future if this goes on much longer, so I'm locking the thread.

It's a sad reflection on the football authorities that they continue with the divisive name, and I'm sure there will have to be more voices telling them how they've got it wrong before they can swallow their pride, climb down and put something in place that is actually meaningful and workable, but if anyone wants to be one of those voices, it'll have to be somewhere other than this board.

Thanks to those who made sensible contributions. It's been interesting.
