Theres a go kart track not far from me that is half inside half outside, always 'interesting' when the outside part is wet Its just a shame that its all inside for about 6 months of the year, damn fair weather folk.
You can do all that on Gt5, only with more parameters. I have both GT5 and Forza4, and i find GT5 to be more realistic, Forza to be more fun.
Well since I can't be punished in the gaming world I must be honest that I never approached it like that before Cosicave in going up levels to enjoy the progressive differences, I'm just like Lewis, drive the **** out of it etc... I really just jumped in and tried a lot of cars and wanted to find out which was the most evil to control. It wouldn't be correct in being a critic on how much faster (I think) I can go against the real world....but I take my hat off to the guys who drove that thing for real for hours on end at that speed that was on a far higher level than I could ever push it. I've watched videos on how they drove that *thing* around Le Mans and other tracks that I don't really recognise and I would just go: "****, I would of died 3 times before that corner." If I ever had the chance to drive it I would only want to do 1 lap at Le Mans in first gear and thank my lucky stars I didn't kill myself. I would rather do a lap in today's F1 cars around Monza than 1 lap in a Mercedes C9 as its faster than a F1 car in any era, half the downforce and twice the weight! I'll stick to living thanks!
I'm in the same boat at you, Forza is more fun but GT5 just has the realism! Forza has got better though and they are getting closer to Gran Turismo I feel.
If anyone wants to test their manhood, i suggest trying to drive a 1969 dodge charger on forza with an 8.3 litre v10 from an srt10 in it. That'll put hairs on your chest.
Fully modify it power wise, leave handling etc. stock, makes it really good fun. it's barely controllable with traction control on, it's insane without it.
Yeah, why not? (i thought it only went up to 950 BHP though, i must have forgotten to install a part)
If you want to try what a Mercedes C9 feels like get a Bertone Mantide and do it up to the maximum with some really high gears and see if you can keep that ****er in a straight line. Best I got out of it was 260mph down Le Mans. *edit: 262mph now.*
Off topic That sounds good Miggins; you're clearly quicker than average and must have some talent. Have you ever had a go in a single seater (car, not kart)? A Formula Ford for example? - Even the old, basic, 1600cc 4 speed Van Diemen is great fun when you know everyone is in the same car. Earlier versions are very cheap to buy, although you'll need a reasonable budget for a season's racing.
If Miggins is feeling ambitious and talented (and rich), he can buy a Lola B12/60 LMP1 car for only £675,000. What a bargain too, it's the same thing Dyson Racing in the ALMS and Rebellion racing in the WEC use. please log in to view this image
I'll fight you for it. (Good to see the #4 car win again on saturday too, they must have the championship sown up soon).
Is there a R90CK in it too, Silver? In 1990, Blundell was 227mph at the speed trap on his pole lap – down by about 25mph before the introduction of chicanes. During qualy, his engine had a fault. Power was down by about 10%, but was otherwise estimated at a monstrous 1100bhp! A well driven simulation without the fault (a wastegate related problem) a should see about 235mph just before braking but about 260mph if properly geared without the chicanes, as it was a low-downforce chassis. (significantly more speed than this is unrealistic). The Sauber Mercedes and Mazda 787B were in the same sort of territory; but like you, I've always liked the Lola chassis used by Nissan. [edit: I've just read BLS' post claiming 262mph, which sounds exactly right without the chicanes!]
Well you cant really see past the power of the Corvette on the straights of Rd America next. Its still close however so you never know
Nah there isn't, but here's a guy who has got one on Rfactor: wish I had a rig like that!
I didn't make the video let alone sing the song, but if I was born 10 years sooner I wouldn't of been a F1 fan but a Le Man fan. Even the golden era of F1 with Senna Vs Prost wouldn't of been much with these monsters on track. Scary enough I'm already starting to favour the WEC over the F1 season and I'm excited for the Silverstone 6 hour coming up. All car, all power, no bullshit! I never watched Le Mans let alone another racing series until I tried out marsheling and I loved the classic cars and racing than that of F1. I actually didn't even watch the final few races of the F1 2010 season as I highly enjoyed a Lotus 6hr endurance race and the Britcar all nighter. These guys dont give a **** about the rain and all of them are just as crazy as Pastor.
