Stones has wanted out since last summer when his head was turned.
In fairness he's just got on with it, but he's not signed a new deal and he's got 2 years left. So he either commits or he's sold this summer.
If he goes for £40m+ I can't say I'll be arsed tbh.
Apparently the hold up is that Everton have just realised that Les has signed all the paperwork for Mr E Koeman to be their new boss.

It's just following on from the Mirror story last night, in any case.

I love the way the article says Eddie is set to snub us....and then mentions, just in passing, that he hasnt been approached...does that mean that I can say I turned down the Saints managers job because I haven't been asked either?

I'm a vivacious character, both determined and inspiring who enjoys a challenge. Especially if that challenge's name is Victor Wanyama. I'll convince him to sign by spiking his pasta with a sauce whose tomatoness can only be beaten by the loyalty it inspires within the eater. I also hear you have another problematic member of staff called Mane. Well, I have a plan for him too. Rumour has it that he's one of the good guys when it comes to signing autographs and the like for kids so we simply line the streets from here to Manchester with children keen for his signature. By the time he's through, the season will have re-commenced and Sadio will still be a Saints player.
Moreover, I am not a complete and utter snake. If I sign a 3 year deal, I'll be keeping to it. No lower mid-table team will be able to pry me away from European football and the country's finest academy. Nope, not even to a city which has 5 of the UK's 20 most deprived areas, even though I've heard that my Southern pound could buy me a farm and horses up there. Not interested.

Love how all the players are 'now unsettled' - presumably as of a day or two ago, they moved immediately from a settled state to an unsettled state. Obviously it is only the most high profile and desirable ones who have been shuttled quickly into this state. Whether shifting uneasily on their poolside loungers, or having breakdowns in their tournament training groups, The Mirror has tabs on each and every one of their mental states.
