It's the certainty within his voice that gets me. He sounds so adamant that Southampton is his future. Maybe the new Everton owner kidnapped his family and this is all just part of the ransom. Never considered that option.

I know people on here are in not so quiet disbelief at the compensation of £5m for Koeman but bear in mind it isn't that much really. Chelsea paid Porto £13m compensation when they took Villas Boas. That worked out at over £300k per game seeing as they relieved him of his duties after 40 games. Fingers crossed for Koeman........Oh Please.
How about this - I have a job which I enjoy and want to stay in, but the people who do the same job in other companies that are no more successful (or a bit more successful) earn way more than me. I'm renegotiating my contract and want to be paid the same as them. Hey, this other company (and they're not even as good as us) will pay me 3 times what I'm on here. It's only fair I'm paid the same. News may leak out that I'm off but I'm not and people will forgive me when I sign the new contract. (or I might just take the cash at the struggling company, their best employees will leave anyway and I'll spend a lot more time on the beach)
