I may have this wrong, but I think Tobes has conceded that Koeman tried to use the Everton approach as a means of improving his terms at SFC, before deciding to accept their offer.
If that is the case, however EFC try to spin it, their, more intelligent, fans will recognise that Koeman has moved for the money, and not because he wanted the job.
It will be very interesting to see how they react to a run of 1 win from 9 games, especially as Koeman sits slumped in his seat, arms crossed as he often did, when things weren't going well.
Another point. It has been asked, "Why would we offer Koeman a new contract, if the issues in the Jack Schitt post were accurate"?
Maybe, just maybe, the new contract, that Koeman initially agreed, addressed all of the issues, and the board were prepared to trust he would come into line.
