I will concede that you were right at the time but it does now appear that we have the other half of the story that he was using you as a bargaining chip. its been accepted that Koeman is going most likely, an that shows an acceptance of your side of the debate but you seem unable to look at the other side of the story.
Not so. I've not countered the fact that Koeman attempted to get a better deal from Soton off the back of our interest, it's just how it works. If you'd have paid him the same sort of money would he have stayed? Almost certainly yes imo. But you didn't and he chose to leave, it's the inference that he's somehow gutted by the outcome and the blarney about his assistants that I've called bollocks.
It does make a lot more sense. Every Saints fan I have spoken to has been stunned, firstly because Koeman broke his oft-quoted promise and secondly because it was Everton. Not trying to be rude or offend a fan of another club, but it is the truth...everyone (bar none) could not understand him going to Everton....could scarcely be more surprised if he'd gone to Bournemouth. We all thought we'd lose him to Barcelona, Arsenal, Chelsea etc. It sounds like he tried to use Everton as a bargaining chip and it probably escalated into a row.
So is that why RonKo sacked his first agent? Maybe he thought he could be found culpable ? Hang on why are you asking us, we know nothing, I thought it was you that had all the answers, are you doubting your own judgement now?
Ok. Just try not to type them. Remember that we're southern farmers, sailors and dockers, and we might misunderstand.
I have just been speaking to my ITK mate in Liverpool who is an Everton supporter and he tells me that everyone of any note in Liverpool is saying that Bill Kenwright is furious about the mess that Moshiri has caused over Koeman. Not only has Everton been made to look very foolish and inept in their handling of the matter but they have become a laughing stock in the media. Now they look as if they are going to end up with egg on their face and be in disgrace for being the cause of a decent man losing his job and his reputation for integrity and they still wont have a manager. You couldn't make it up.
Anyone would be gutted about going from us to Everton. In all seriousness I don't have another source to back up about the assistants, but I did speak to one on the train (before any of this started) and he seemed very very settled and happy here. Obviously what goes on in his mind about this is not mine to know. It's the fact that all this has been backed up, as I have said previously many times.
According to the talked about post I've read on TSW, Jan and Erwin are absolutely furious with Ronald. Erwin will probably eventually join his brother just out of loyalty, and I have no problem with that. I think he's a good guy mixed up in a mess. Jan absolutely wants to stay at Saints because he loves it here and he's settled.
Only my 'stories' have been since proven by something called reality... As for taking the bait, haha, I think not.
Well said. Jesus H Christ, I had a look at the Everton "Not 606" side and guess what? The VERY same candidates are, Discussing? Arguing? Squabbling? The SAME thing over there.....Wow!........Can't we just put this thread on lock down until something OFFICIAL is announced?
From what he was telling me, with family being settled and happy, pleased with how the club is run and that it was (in his opinion) a fantastic work environment, I'd understand why he'd be very pissed off.
Hope Jan does stay - a slap in the face for Koeman - not many fitness coaches become fan favorites, but that'd do it.
If you mean temporarily close the thread then we only do that if debate becomes abusive or the thread has died a natural death and it is in the forum's interest for it not to be revived.
Wouldn't be so sure. It's pretty well known that a couple of the 'ITKs' on that forum are leaking things with the permission of the club, and have been for years. Which does put the "at least as far as the club sees it" in context...it's a means for them to get their side out on things that can't go straight to a journalist.
Tobes reminds me of Everton as a team. Potential for a good attack but an inter-changing defence that many holes can be picked in.
