I can't remember a time when I've seen so little enthusiasm for a major competition, I wonder why.

I'm looking forward to Friday and hoping Scotland can grind out a draw against Germany ...

... unlike many English people I like Scotland and hope they can get out of the group.

They certainly won't be short of support, even from my little corner there are people going with or without tickets.

This lad deserves a bit of support himself ...

John Stones missed training today through illness :emoticon-0149-no: Hopefully that clears up asap.

Next Sunday I think I’d go:

Pickford
Walker - Stones - Guehi - Trippier
Rice - Wharton
Saka - Bellingham - Foden
Kane

I think Trent is probably going to get the nod in midfield but I wouldn't be shocked to see Gallagher in there.

Wharton and Mainoo are unlikely to start in the tournament in my view.

The rest is spot on though.

It's a bit of a miserable slog for England fans. We know we're going out in disappointment sooner or later, and when you go you're treated as hooligans in waiting. I don't think we have that element any more (too much risk of a messed up hairdo, fake tan sweats off and it's difficult to fight in sliders).

The Scotland support turns up and it's non stop party time.

I'd rather be in their situation than ours. They'll have a great time whatever happens, we'll only enjoy it if we win it.
