Just wondering how these predictions were doing.

FFS <doh>

... "minimal ramifications" is absolute bollocks. The markets will go into free fall if we decide to bail, and we'll be in a recession by Q3 2016, it's not even a matter of debate, even the brexit camp have been forced to admit it.

.

Facts are, if we vote to leave the pound will nosedive - probably go 1/1 against the euro. As we're a net importer, that makes our imports far more expensive. Consequently, inflation will rise. The BOE will most likely have to raise rates anyway to try and protect the pound, but raised inflation will bring about a rate rise anyway. Mortgage costs will go up, disposable incomes down. The economy will shrink significantly. The stock market will go into free fall.

The pound will drop as it did back in 2008. A rapid decline of probably 25-30%. It will happen so quickly you won't have time to blink, let alone react....

Trust me, it will nosedive!!...I used to work in the City and still have contacts there. The pound will go into freefall....

Pound drops below €1.20 as Carney hints at possible rate cut and further stimulus. Probably more QE

http://www.wsj.com/articles/boes-mark-carney-hints-at-summer-rate-cut-1467299787

"Earlier this afternoon, before Mark Carney’s speech, the FTSE and sterling were broadly flat on the day. Following the governor’s words, the FTSE has just closed within a whisker of its highest level year-to-date, while sterling has lost a cent and a half against the dollar and more than a cent against the euro."

That's not the point you dolt.

They should set out to the entire electorate what their plans are for the deal, what is negotiable and what isn't.

As them signing a deal that still allows Johnny Foreigner in isn't what you want is it?

How about giving them a ****ing chance?

Wrong again. An EU spokesperson has already said that should a Norway style deal be made, Britain can expect to pay significantly more than Norway.

You, and others, seem to believe that negotiating these deals with the EU is going to be easy-peasy. That they'll bend over to accomodate us. They won't!

Apart from the fact that we have just pissed heavily all over their bonfire, they are not blind to the rise of Far right wing parties in other parts of Europe; who are already using the UK vote to stir things up in their own countries.

The very last thing the EU will want to do is to give these people any further encouragement by seen to be being lenient on the Uk.

I certainly don't believe it will be easy-peasy, nor do I tarbrush all Remainers as idiots, although some certainly try hard to join that club. Do you believe that treating us harshly and unfairly will endorse them with other EU member states? Do you not consider that they might believe they overplayed their collective hand with the UK and made a real, unwise tactical error that has blown up in their collective faces? Do you not believe that they might understand the principles of damage limitation, even if the radicals on here don't? Bloody hell, this is moronic nonsense.

Saw this on the Sunderland board.

Like you didn't think Boris was a shoo in until today.

Perhaps May + Johnson, not against each other, but one the understudy to the other - Boris needs experience in too many areas to lead. A fast agreement would lose the need for a contest, establish control quicker and discard demands for a GE. If only ...

Do you not get bored with being wrong? <laugh>

The below is interesting. Although Heseltine says that the Tory party has been ripped apart it should be made clear that the party is not a shambles. Pete said so.

Conservative grandee and former leadership contender Lord Heseltine has launched a scathing attack on Boris Johnson, accusing him of creating the "greatest constitutional crisis in modern times".

Mr Heseltine, a former deputy prime minister, told the BBC the former London mayor had "ripped the (Conservative) party apart."

Lord Heseltine described Mr Johnson as "like a general, that led his army to the sound of guns, and at the sight of the battlefield abandoned the field."

Politicians in the United States, Australia, New Zealand and South Korea are keen to secure new trade deals with the UK as it prepares to leave the European Union.

In the US, speaker of the house Paul Ryan has said: “We need to emphasise that they are our indispensable ally, we have a special relationship, and I think that does mean we should have a trade agreement with England – with Great Britain.

“That is something we should begin discussions with Great Britain to ease concerns so that we do have a smooth trade

There you go again! Everybody else's opinion, particularly when it doesn't agree with your own, is moronic.

It's blind ignorance and arrogance to assume you're always right. But that doesn't seem to bother you one bit.

The scenario I portrayed is a perfectly feasible one, and what I believe will happen.

Not really, Boris is definitely an idiot but just shows how shocking the choice is when it's a terrifying prospect having Boris in charge and in charge of our negotiations but he was probably the 'least worst' option!

Utter bollocks, not even a half decent attempt at saving your blushes. <laugh>

Heseltine is Euro through and through and hardly an impartial voice; he has been a huge ****er in his day and has managed to maintain that high standard since.
