"Earlier this afternoon, before Mark Carney’s speech, the FTSE and sterling were broadly flat on the day. Following the governor’s words, the FTSE has just closed within a whisker of its highest level year-to-date, while sterling has lost a cent and a half against the dollar and more than a cent against the euro."

I certainly don't believe it will be easy-peasy, nor do I tarbrush all Remainers as idiots, although some certainly try hard to join that club. Do you believe that treating us harshly and unfairly will endorse them with other EU member states? Do you not consider that they might believe they overplayed their collective hand with the UK and made a real, unwise tactical error that has blown up in their collective faces? Do you not believe that they might understand the principles of damage limitation, even if the radicals on here don't? Bloody hell, this is moronic nonsense.

The below is interesting. Although Heseltine says that the Tory party has been ripped apart it should be made clear that the party is not a shambles. Pete said so.

Conservative grandee and former leadership contender Lord Heseltine has launched a scathing attack on Boris Johnson, accusing him of creating the "greatest constitutional crisis in modern times".

Mr Heseltine, a former deputy prime minister, told the BBC the former London mayor had "ripped the (Conservative) party apart."

Lord Heseltine described Mr Johnson as "like a general, that led his army to the sound of guns, and at the sight of the battlefield abandoned the field."

    http://www.cityam.com/244449/politicians-us-australia-new-zealand-and-south-korea-push

Politicians in the United States, Australia, New Zealand and South Korea are keen to secure new trade deals with the UK as it prepares to leave the European Union.

In the US, speaker of the house Paul Ryan has said: “We need to emphasise that they are our indispensable ally, we have a special relationship, and I think that does mean we should have a trade agreement with England – with Great Britain.

“That is something we should begin discussions with Great Britain to ease concerns so that we do have a smooth trade

There you go again! Everybody else's opinion, particularly when it doesn't agree with your own, is moronic.

It's blind ignorance and arrogance to assume you're always right. But that doesn't seem to bother you one bit.

The scenario I portrayed is a perfectly feasible one, and what I believe will happen.

I covered that one long ago, but you're too slow to notice anything other than your own opinions.

Pound down 11% vs €. And 13% vs $ . It will fall more over time.

Heseltine is Euro through and through and hardly an impartial voice; he has been a huge ****er in his day and has managed to maintain that high standard since.
