Thing is, Pards hasn't failed at his job. He was set a task of top 10 - something a lot of us would have settled for at the start of the season, especially given the lack of signings, and if you told us we'd lose Cabaye in Jan with no replacement.

Unfortunately, the manner of the defeats has been quite embarrassing recently. I don't think Pards can survive this latest run of defeats, mainly because he's lost the fans. I feel sorry for any manager put in his position, no goalscorers, no signings - but he's not handling it very well now, pressure is getting to him.

This is it for me. As long as fans don't go all naive and think a manager is going to cure all the ills. Much bigger things wrong at this football club. Pardew delivered a superb season up to January. Unfortunately the 2nd half of the season has been abysmal. The swings in our performance are just too great. He's had 3 years which is about right and it is time to assess. We haven't managed to move forward quite as much as we'd like, he has had a few unsavoury incidents, is disliked by the majority of the fans and doesn't seem to be handling the pressure well. His time has come.

He's had 3 years but the critical problem is the last 2 transfer windows, whoever was manager under these circumstances and constraints would I think be in the same situation, it's all very well calling for his head but that is not gonna solve the real issue. I am getting tired of all of this after 45 odd years it doesn't seem to have changed that much.

He received another disgusting kick in the nuts for the second transfer window in a row and he let it get to him. He was openly disappointed about not getting a replacement and knowing his hands were tied behind his back. As fans we wanted to know he wasn't happy with the state of the squad. Unfortunately the players saw it too and in effect gave up there and then. He's been a walking dead man ever since.

Undoubtedly is but I do think he has lost the plot a little. The touchline incident seemed to be a boiling over of frustration with everything going on around him. We were winning afterall. He has struggled and his tactics and selections have gone south too. I think many fans go way way over the top about his time working under the constraints he has. I'm not not however convinced he is the man for the job. I accept we are unlikely to be afforded any better from the owner, but I think the ill feeling towards Pardew means he needs to go. He was never forgiven for last season nevermind this latest run. Even when we we were going well, you could sense the fans waiting to pounce. All he did was quell the speculation with good form.
