Ryan Dickson just tweeted this:

"A business decision? Absolutely miffed! Looks like I'm stuck still watching premiership football for the season could be worse! Crazy"

Is this about us or another club? I suspect us.

Shame the way it worked out, I thought Dickson looked quite promising at L1 level.

Charlton keeper Ben Hamer just tweeted Dickson.

Dickson's reply: "@BenHamer21 cant beat playing though mate frustrated ant the word! Just can't understand not wanted so let me play else where!"

Don't blame him, I would be equally frustrated. At least he wants to play, he could do a Forecast and just sit on whats he's earning and wait for his contract to expire.

Could he not lower or waiver his wage demands? I mean why should he, but if he really wanted to force through a move he could.

Unless the issue is his transfer fee as club are looking to recoup some of his wages.

This is starting to become a habit for us now it's worrying, I'm all for the club being the boss but I don't like this attitude we have to players careers.

It has been mentioned in a few articles that Dickson has become out of the reach of clubs who would be interested in him. It's an interesting and unfortunate circumstance to Saints being promoted in subsequent seasons, and that has made his price rise. He won't go hungry, and a championship club may take him on if Saints are willing to share the cost. Personally, I think he does need games, and he needs to concentrate on improving himself, to get noticed.

If the clubs that are offering, don't reach our valuation then we have every right to reject it. That's what this is bound to be about, I would expect him to go out on loan again. I don't think it's a good idea letting him go yet, he's still young and could turn out to be a decent player.

If its down to wages which his future club can't afford, then that's his problem and he needs to decide whats best. Go and play on a smaller pay or sit and try hard and make the Saints coaches think twice. But its a business decision were told. So are Saints looking for a fee to take him away on loan?, Are we pricing him to high for clubs to buy? I guess none of us will know but I hope its sorted out soon.

Plus I don't like the Saints fans having a dig at him on twitter though, he hasn't offended anyone and no one knows the situation.

Who are these players..? OK, you say Dickson, which btw, I don't think Saints are deliberately toying with, but who else..?

We screwed with puncheon as well, he was pushed far enough into making stupid comments which he then apparently made up with nigel only to be used for 1 or 2 matches then seemingly dumped into the reserves again.

BTW, MightySouthampton, your Crisp and RedRum signature, uttered a couple of seasons back, turned out to be quite prophetic for last season, with Us being Crisp and Reading being RedRum. Perhaps you could choose another Adkinism for this season..? ;)

Nobody pushed Puncheon. He was being an twerp, and not playing well enough to boot. He has since settled his differences with the club. Dickson's situation is simply because his price and wages have gone up because Saints have been promoted so quickly. It's an unhappy consequence. There is nothing deliberate about it and I'm sure something will be settled eventually. Dickson is understandably unhappy because he has little control over the situation unless he drops his own demands significantly.
