Don’t see it with Leicester personally, they’ve comfortably beaten us in the last 3 meetings.
Not sure the last one at SMS was easy for them. We collapsed as usual but it wasn’t an easy win for them. I thought they were poor and we gifted them. Still agree we probably won’t win at their place though.

Eleven points! Thank heavens!

Derby's Goal Difference was -69. Ours is -54, but we've scored more goals. Presuming we don't win or draw another game, we need to avoid conceding 16 goals without reply in our remaining games. Most of the other "worst" records have been avoided. We can't tell on most goals conceded at home (57, we're on 35 with 2 games to go) or away (55, we're on 43 with 3 games to go) yet, though neither seem likely.

The teams left to play are: Fulham, Leicester, Man City, Everton, Arsenal. Although anyone could theoretically tonk us, Man City and Arsenal are the ones most likely to do so. Our defence has improved under our new management and hopefully Arsenal will be comfortably second and on the beach. A draw or a win in any of those games renders the matter moot.

Sheesh! What a flipping season when we are reduced to saying "If you beat us, don't beat us too harshly!"

Some other record to lighten the mood. Southampton are the only team to score 5 goals in a game in each half in a PL season and Saints still hold the record for the fastest goal in the Premier League.

Liverpool equalled the 5 goal thing a couple of years back.

Arsenal, if they beat PSG, will play the UCL final just six days after their game against us.

Can see us beating them. It will be another lame-to-fame like stopping City from doing the quadruple.

"We beat the champions of Europe."

Not sure about how the Everton game will play out. The emotion of the day might be too much for Everton to handle, giving us a chance of winning, but the pessimist in me says it will drive them on to score 5 or 6.

Even without a CL final six days later, I'd still expect Arsenal to go mainly second-string on the final day (assuming they are certain of finishing 2nd). Give a few kids a chance, let some squad players make a farewell appearance etc.

But if they are in the CL final, I wouldn't be shocked if they go even weaker still. Like third-string level.

That said, I'm semi-confident about us drawing or beating Leicester. In which case, the Arsenal match becomes academic.

Yeah it could go one of two ways. They'll either get caught up in the occasion which goes in our favour or the crowd will drive them on. Probably all about the first 15 minutes.

The other thing I can see from them is a lot of shooting from distance, every time an opportunity comes up I expect them to have a go as they'll be hoping to score a screamer at the last game there.

Definitely don't see us getting another point now so joint worst team ever. Congratulations Sports Republic <applause>

If we're including GD then I think we're currently 12 goals better off? That's easily doable in these last 3 matches too.
