There seems to be some sort of madness at some football clubs (ours included sadly) whereby the appointment of a manager with a pedigree of failure will, it is believed, somehow bring the success that has so far eluded him. Just weird. If we ran our businesses in that way, society would grind to a halt very rapidly.

I agree with this but the thing is you then get people like mark hughes who do such a bad job at a club (ours) you can't imagine he'll ever work again. Then he turns up at Stoke and does alright thank you very much.
