I do sympathise with Fingy's feelings - but never to the extent of deciding not to support my club going forwards. I've felt far worse than I do now. The whole Chris Wright saga. The ABC loan. The nightmare scenario just before Tango and Cash appeared. The nightmare scenario just after Tango and Cash appeared. The managerial turnstile. The Faurlingate saga. Dropping out of the Prem in 96. Dropping to League 1. Failing to win in Cardiff.

Compared with those times, I'm positively jolly right now.....

I don't post but felt I had to. Whilst I understand the OP's frustration, we've been in much worse situations than what we're currently in. I see Ramsey as inexperienced but he knows every single player right through all the ranks and this is really powerful when we're looking to build, not just the first team, but the whole club from the bottom up. He's also hungry with a point to prove so what better motivation for someone to succeed? I see this phase as really exciting journey for us and one I'm looking forward to be part of even though I expect it to get worse before it gets better.

When you've supported a club for so long, when it's in your blood, when it's the thing you look forward to the most each weekend, I just can't understand how you can just walk away from it?

We are QPR and it's never been easy. Having supported the R's for so long, you more than anyone should know it's never an easy ride. If you prefer easy, you only have to go down the road. You'd pay more but at least you'd get your money's worth but I suspect that's not what's it's about...

Welcome qpr_w3.....don't be a stranger as that was a very good opening post.....:emoticon-0150-hands

Again, it is great to see some new posters!!!!

Seeing as we're beginning to do things a bit differently and getting a couple of promising, young signings in early doors, I wonder if OP still thinks it's all doom and gloom? I for one, couldn't be more excited :emoticon-0169-dance

Finglas will be back in his own time......

Dear Finglas
we have never met - maybe we have at Loftus but have done so unknowingly.
All I will say is that to follow QPR (and I have for 40 years) - is to remember that in life there are two ways of doing something: the easy way and the difficult way. As a fellow Rangers fan, you know we always do things the difficult way. We have had a succession of bad owners, in turn made bad choices in their managers, whether initially employing them or getting rid of too quickly, owners that were prepared to offer stupid salaries to mercenaries that really didn't give a two bob bit, and ignoring those that cared. We are a club that should be offering young players and those from lower divisions an opportunity to prove themselves - and then maybe selling at a huge profit - Sinton, Ferdinand, Austin(?) for example, rather than buy in players such as Boswinga, and SWP.
I hope TF gets in right. He has also had to deal with a loss of an aeroplane this year so maybe as far as QPR goes, he found himself in a bad where maybe he couldn't or didn't have the time to be in two places at once.
CR - I think will get it right. He does need time in which to build a team, his team, and the two recent signings from Swindon will hopefully be the first of many. You may have already posted your letter, however I do hope you thought before you posted it off.
I've got a feeling this championship season will be exciting

Ninj, I know Finglas very well, and a more passionate supporter I've not come across. I'm sure on reflection he will come round and will be in the C&S for a beer or five prior to our first home game in August. That was a very good post from a fan after my own heart. I have been going to LR for 47 years now and although we don't make life easy for ourselves I wouldn't have it any other way.

Finglas will be back in his own time......

He is back at Loftus Road on Saturday for the first time this season. Yes my visit was pre-planned but the timing of the departure suits me fine.

In hindsight, I wonder how some people who posted on this thread feel tonight? I didn't reopen it to gloat or to say, I told you so. I wonder how Tony Fernandes feels tonight having handed his dream Manager a 3 year contract a few short months ago. I did indeed send my letter to him and I did not receive the courtesy of a response.

I have stuck to my word and not a spent a penny on the club after we appointed the Spurs youth team coach as our Manager and I have not commented on here or any other message board on footballing matters at QPR, only the Uber thread because I had a personal interest in the subject.

The big question now is, where is TF going to go now with who he chooses to manage our great club? I have strong opinions on one potential candidate who is being mentioned. If TF chooses Sherwood, god help us.

Good post mate and l respect your decisions.
There is of course, one worse case scenario. That is Warnock being given the flick, as you say, Sherwood being appointed and to top it off, Ramsey as his assistant. This would be a disaster.
If people think l'm negative, remember we are QPR fans.
Hopefully, this will not happen but with Ramsey being moved aside as opposed to being sacked.

Welcome back Finglas. The next appointment is critical. Ramsey's appointment was always a strange one and giving him a 3 year contract was just plain daft.

I'm pretty sure it's going to be Sherwood with Ramsey as his assistant!!
There seems to be some sort of madness at some football clubs (ours included sadly) whereby the appointment of a manager with a pedigree of failure will, it is believed, somehow bring the success that has so far eluded him. Just weird. If we ran our businesses in that way, society would grind to a halt very rapidly.

I agree RTID.

The next question is, why are we so unsuccessful?
