just been looking at that myself. we didn't, the software did. it removed the closing QUOTE tag from what you said, for reasons i don't understand. i've edited it back into the right place for you.

it might be a fault that happens with nested quotes.

Bullshit. Human error. Always.

Odd that the jokes made by the club chairman are twisted out of shape and used to fuel personal attacks on him, yet a "joke" made by the mates of the chairman of CTWD and endorsed by him online are just fine.

Have you read this thread? I think there are plenty using this joke to twist things and post personal attacks on him, apparently even being a vegiterian and a cyclist is an offence now. I believe the gift was from his girlfriend, who has absolutely nothing to do with CTWD, I've never even met her.

If the best thing anyone can find to try and criticise CTWD for, if a joke gift from a committee members girlfriend, then we're probably doing a decent job.

Unbelievable! How you got, and manage to retain, the position of a moderator is totally beyond me.

Being anti-Allam will never be a taboo, stop trying to make it one. If he hadn't done anything to deserve it, no one would hate him. Unless you think it's just prejudice against him? Racism even? Even if there was something wrong with being anti-Allam, why that post would upset you I've no idea. I just answered Happy's question exactly as he asked.

Speaking of Happy, I notice that yet again he's disappeared when his argument failed rather than admit defeat. He's still on this thread liking posts but too busy to see the replies to him I'm sure. He'll pop up as always on the next possible thread with his faux outrage. And the cycle continues, probably until Allam leaves...

Wait, no, thats not odd, that's been the entire basis of CTWDs campaign strategy. "Do as we say not as we do".

I was sort of relaxing about the Supporters Trust thing, but now, not a chance in hell would I want anyone with those types of views anywhere near my club. Nor would I want anyone who privately thinks one thing but publicly is all sweetness, light, respect and calm. No wonder you claim you can't control your own supporters, you don't want to, its exactly these sort of "superfans" who are the cause of the problem.

Duplicitous bastards as we've known all along, this just helps confirm that view.

Apologies in fact, I missed this.

So you got any response to the OSC thing? Do you hate those 'duplicituous' bastards as well or is it different because you don't want to hate them?

Hating the OSC would be like hating Wales.

What's the point?

Do you think they're duplicituous bastards who you don't want anywhere near the club? Since you say the same of CTWD for an allegation you think is true, but which is definitely true of the OSC (although I don't think it's a bad thing at all, but clearly you do).

It's because he's a weasel. <laugh>

How do you know that's his private view? Somebody bought him a hip flask with a joke inscription and he posted it on twitter. To me it shows is a lack of taste, and only a lack of taste. So where is the evidence that the inscription reflects his private views? No other tweets have been shared to support his alleged anti-Allam views. When did you meet him and talk to him about Assem Allam?

No other tweets? Just the ones below it saying it's like someone snooped on your personal emails and it's what I've heard you say.

Just have a bit of honesty it's always been anti Allam.

While I agree that the 'offence' is massively diminished by the fact that he himself didn't write it, it was rather naive of him to post a pic of it on Twitter.

Maybe so, but I suspect many of us could be embarrassed by some of the **** we've posted on here over the years, people in glass houses and all that...

I see you are calling me a liar again.

The other tweets you quote are all about the flask and all posted around the date of the announcement. All re-produced in a nice line. How do you know that the other tweets were not jokes as well? You don't. You don't even know whether and how he uses expletives in his personal e-mails.

One joke in poor taste (in my opinion) and it means the whole of CTWD is anti-Allam. After months of campaigning and that is the best you can come up with. Its pathetic.

I asked how often you used language like that on here but you haven't answered yet. I'm still waiting.

That has to be the craziest thing I've read on here for a long time! If it's none of your business why bother even keeping an eye out for the results, let alone turn up to a game? By similar logic what if all the companies you pay your bills to decided to up their prices fivefold? Nah, you wouldn't care...

I would be entitled to an opinion on any decision the club owner makes but I would have no influence on any of it and nor do I feel I should. I couldn't see myself joining an anti Allam hooligan protest group just because the club sold a centre half.

That's not the subtlest of trolling/wumming. But no doubt you'll still get some bites.

If you are part of a protest group that opposes the owners ideas, then you are to all intents and purposes anti Allam.

CTWD has been anti Allam from the beginning.

Are you kind of far-out fantasist? What kind of bollix is that?

So we should all just nod our heads and agree with everything he does? He has some good ideas and some incredibly stupid ones. We can still support the bloke without worshipping his every move.
