Oh dear...How sad must you be go through 6 months worth of Tweets looking for dirt. It's a hip flask for god sake. But anyone will do anything to blame CTWD and not look at real problem that is holding the club back. Also anyone blaming Allam's culture and language really needs to get grip. He's lived, studied and worked here longer a lot of people on this forum have been alive. Plenty of straw clutting go on here.
that is truly bizarre. and you claim to be a hull city supporter but it would be none of your business if the chairman sold off all the best players? i think you'll find that that doesn't quite fit the definition of a hull city supporter. 100% of the rest of us would be very concerned. many of us would go round with pitchfolks, flaming torches, and intervention on our minds. in fact, we might anyway, just to cover all the bases.
hull city afc, has the worst fan base in all of the uk... rangers gets 50k in division three portsmouth gets almost max att in division three hull city afc.. they boo when loyal fans want to preserve the name that's been around for a century... pathetic
just been looking at that myself. we didn't, the software did. it removed the closing QUOTE tag from what you said, for reasons i don't understand. i've edited it back into the right place for you. it might be a fault that happens with nested quotes.
my dream is to hear city under this [video=youtube;0Qqd6T_A9LY]https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=0Qqd6T_A9LY[/video] but i wouldn't want it, if we are hull tigers...
So why are some fans still singing the designated protest song at the designated protest time? When CTWD was formed, ot was claimed to be a single issue supporters group. However misguided Dr Allams attempts to change the name of the club are, his intentions are to help tje club, assett stripping is purely to line the ppckets of the chairman with scant regard for the wellbeing of the club. Hardly comparable.
I can't be arsed to go thru all these posts, but I'd reckon on this - Assem Allam wants to change the club's name from HULL CITY to HULL TIGERS. On that topic - **** YOU ALLAM. Simple explantion?
He can't, owning a football club and investing 100 million does not give you the right to to what you want. You are bound by the rules of the governing body the FA. Put it this way if Mr Allam bought Burton Constable Hall, he couldn't paint it black and amber and install white UPVC windows. It's the rules, simple as that.
So he is guilty of having a pathetic sense of humour and tastelessly putting it on line. A bit different from the claim that this tweet shows CTWD are anti-Allam and have been all along. Out of the, no doubt thousands of tweets he's posted over the last 18 months this is the only one they could find that was allegedly anti-Allam. I'm not defending it. I just think its pathetic that the first thing people do is jump to the conclusion that a tweet about a gift shows Mark and CTWD is rabidly anti-Allam. There are many examples of similar language used on this board. Are they all meant as signs of hatred? Don't you think some of them attempts at humour, or a rougher form of banter?
So someone bought him a hip flask? It had a joke on it? Don't see how it changes anything. Maybe if he'd taken the flask to get inscribed himself, and then posted it on Twitter, acting all clever...but he didn't. I thought in the last 24 to 48 hours this seemed to have simmered down a bit, but oh no, it's back. Great.
I'm saying using one tweet and a present from a campaign thats lasted over a year to prove that Mark Gretton is anti-Allam and therefore the whole of CTWD is anti-Allam is pathetic. Knowing Mark I can see why it would appeal to his sense of humour. Does it appeal to my sense of humour? No it doesn't. Would I have handed the gift back? Yes. Would I have put it on social media? No. Hull City is at a crossroads. Assem Allam has run out of money and cannot continue funding a Premier League team. We have a funding gap that needs to be filled. I don't think Hull Tigers would have filled it, but it still needs filling. Assem Allam could withdraw from arbitration and ask Hull City supporters for help to bridge that gap. There have been no end of threads on here about how to boost our support and income. There are many talented and wealthy Hull City supporters who, I'm sure, would offer practical help if asked. Personally I like having the Allam family in charge of Hull City. Much better then an oil rich billionaire. It shows Hull and the surrounding area in a very good light. Does it mean I'd let him change the name, of course not. He should bury the rotting corpse of Hull Tigers and finish the job of building Hull City into the team he and we want. A lot of the work he has already done. I suspect all he has to do is ask and he'll get plenty of help to take us to the next level.
Mark hasn't called anyone a ****, he was given a gift with a joke on it. Fair enough if you don't think it's funny, but it's hardly the crime of the century. Assem might well have a hip flask with 'Gretton Is A ****' on it. CTWD is not an anti-Allam organisation and no joke inscription on a hip flask changes that fact.
It shows how weak the argument is if some try to make this an issue. On the name change issue, CTWD can hold their heads high.
It's sad that some people are willing to submit to Allam's every whim. We don't always agree with everything our bosses do or propose, so why should a bloke few if any know personally be any different? So what if he gets upset if people disagree, he's in democratic country and should accept it. Some people can't see the wood for the trees.
Odd that the jokes made by the club chairman are twisted out of shape and used to fuel personal attacks on him, yet a "joke" made by the mates of the chairman of CTWD and endorsed by him online are just fine. Wait, no, thats not odd, that's been the entire basis of CTWDs campaign strategy. "Do as we say not as we do". I was sort of relaxing about the Supporters Trust thing, but now, not a chance in hell would I want anyone with those types of views anywhere near my club. Nor would I want anyone who privately thinks one thing but publicly is all sweetness, light, respect and calm. No wonder you claim you can't control your own supporters, you don't want to, its exactly these sort of "superfans" who are the cause of the problem. Duplicitous bastards as we've known all along, this just helps confirm that view.
How do you know that's his private view? Somebody bought him a hip flask with a joke inscription and he posted it on twitter. To me it shows is a lack of taste, and only a lack of taste. So where is the evidence that the inscription reflects his private views? No other tweets have been shared to support his alleged anti-Allam views. When did you meet him and talk to him about Assem Allam?
