Very glad the mask has finally slipped for all to see. Can CTWD now just do the decent thing and quietly fade into obscurity so we can all get on with supporting our extremely exciting-looking team please? Which should have happened immediately after the FA said no, then everyone could have held their heads high. But I get the feeling not having this noble cause to fight would leave too big a gap in some people's lives now. Maybe get out a bit more. Come on now. Let. It. Go....
It's not completely different at all. As far as I'm aware there are many opinions and stereotypes being made on this forum alone about complete strangers and fellow forum members. Sure, they can't be attributed to CTWD as a whole but neither can you call someone a **** for being a neutral. I'm just saying don't be a hypocrite and criticise those who are connecting that tweet and flask to every CTWD member or anti-name change supporter. Many have done the exact same thing to people who say anything remotely positive about AA or who are on the fence about it all. It's not an unfair accusation that that flask is of poor taste and embarrassing coming from the leader of the group, It's pretty much the definition of a disrespectful, tasteless, contradictory and inflammatory "gift".
Yes. They continue to exist as a supporters group with a view to becoming a supporters trust. This is what Allam initially suggested and CTWD announced plans to do so very soon after. The membership of CTWD voted in favour of becoming a supporters trust to help fill the void in Hull City fan groups, so now they're doing it. The name change campaign is over however. They reiterated this with a statement only yesterday. So the guy I quoted was talking nonsense. Symptomatic of the anti-CTWD poster.
If you're making any attempt at all to defend that tweet then you also risk losing face Obi, it's completely indefensible, whether someone bought Gretton it or not, it should have been immediately thrown in the bin never to see the light of day again, the inscription on it is way beyond disrespectful!
I know what you mean but the appeal is surely only gonna go one way. I don't think there's any more we can do as fans. If the appeal was somehow successful and it drags on for another year then the campaign would start again I'm sure but I don't see it. Why would we? He's in the wrong, the fans aren't.
he owns a football club part of the FA... if he is such a ****ing bellend , that he cries and doesn't accept.. then why not apply to make his own league he can't accept. that he doesn't get his own way.. happy tiger and chazzz... don't get it
My last post was a bit harsh and borne of frustration. I appreciate the fight ctwd put up but the point has been made now. Much more of this and we could potentially lose the best owner and manager we've ever had. Surely noone would want that on their hands. I would love it, just love it, if we could focus on football, and if that means not singing the loaded ctwd chant on 19.04 then so be it. Its not easy when things have come so far but maybe ctwd need to swallow a bit of pride here for the greater good.
In fairness to Happy he did see the error of his ways briefly and apologise to all of us. http://www.not606.com/showthread.php/258016-What-a-day http://www.not606.com/showthread.php/258057-Open-Apology Shame it didn't last but at least we know he knows he's being a dick.
Much more of what? It seems you don't even know what you want to stop, but you just want to be negative about CTWD. Far too many people like this on here lately...
