It’s a very good point. Service and care industry could be seriously impacted with the rapid spread, and it seem as though it’s just going to increase. Most of industry will have been planning the wind-down before Christmas, but will be feeling the impact for sure. Keep safe everyone.
I was due to pop over to France ( although I have been undecided) but today France is basically stopping it.
I think that’s more likely in Scotland than England mate. 6th of January is way too late for lockdown anyway, if the purpose is to reduce spread. This thing is exponential.

Makes no difference now Trammers, if you’ve got a few cases spread in the community you’ve got the whole show, it spreads so fast. Only good thing for us is that we are ahead of the curve, just a shame it will bugger up Christmas.
Is that right? On the Beeb this morning they said the ban would not apply to people who were registered owners of homes in France provided you had the necessary tests/Covid pass/ proof of triple vaccination. That sounds plausible to me but check online. You might struggle getting back though if you try the scenic dinghy route back with lotsa companions who don't speak much English sharing a few life jackets thoughtfully provided by your 'travel agent'. I think they give you a whistle and there is a tube fitted if you need to top it up.
