Can you tell me why they are better ?
And I think most in the UK, unlike Boris, have stuck to the rules.
They are more appropriate, more common sense, I believe Boris would have been in line this time but he wouldn’t have got it past his own MP’s , he needed Labour to even get Plan B through. I meant at least Drakeford sticks to the rules unlike Boris

edit
We’ve had work from home where possible most of the time - why wouldn’t you?
We’ve wore masks in shops and public transport most of the time - why wouldn’t you? , hence Drakeford is pretty much universally thought to have dealt with it better and in a more mature way . I guess it helps he sticks to the rules

to be honest Ashton, although not compulsary over here, wife uses buses a couple or more times a week ... moans about maybe 2 or 3 peeps out of 15 or so not wearing masks... been on bus 3 times [last 3 months pre Christmas ] into out of Bristol twice rush hour coming home on packed bus most wearing mask's .. All windows open. Been shopping about 6 or more times hardly anyone not wearing a mask maybe 2 in 9 or 10 ? more staff dont seem to mind you.... THE intelligent people are getting to grips with the new order of things.
I cant disagree with "Boris" being in a difficult place with all the flack flying. But I always look at the bigger picture, and yep there is doubts and yep the media and opposition parties make hay from it. But when a labour MP states we were in lock down and restricted to being "indoors" or out on exercise only and quotes dates beyond 13th May........... then I know his only motive is brownie points and getting his name in print.......... and the debacle is just a sharade

Ashton
'They are more appropriate, more common sense'
In your, and Drakeford's view.
Is Wales covid rates better than England ? I honestly don't know so I ask respectfully.

'We’ve wore masks in shops and public transport most of the time - why wouldn’t you? '
I do and 99% of all of the folk I see do as well.

'Drakeford is pretty much universally thought to have dealt with it better and in a more mature way'
Are you sure ? To some it seems he likes a Nanny state.

Don't get me wrong Boris's shortcomings are coming out for all to see, and I believe he's had it.
He's pissed me right off but I'm glad I live this side of the bridge living under our different rules and regulations.

You’ve answered your own question surely , you say 99% of people wear masks anyway- surely that suggests to keep it as mandatory is the mature thing to do, encouraging the rouge 1% to wear them also. I don’t think many in Wales consider they live in a Nanny state, there’s nothing Nanny state about doing the sensible thing.
As for Boris well, he was needed to get us through Brexit, which had turned into Groundhog Day, but he’s only ever been interested in himself. He’s a sound bite politician not a serious one, it was inevitable he’d soon be found out.

Dickford is a pain, he seems to like doing to opposit to Boris. But in hindsight it has worked more in his favour with mask wearing throughout the past months. But there was a time in the beginning of the pandemic it was compulsory in England but not Wales.
Be interesting to see the empty stadium ban lifted just in time for 6 nations.

Scotland under Furher Sturgeon has been ridiculous these past few weeks. Football being played in empty stadiums that are largely open to the elements, with plenty of fresh air available, but people have been allowed to visit shopping malls and be all over each other.

I would be surprised if it isn’t, I actually like Drakeford at least he seems sincere & well meaning, unlike somebody else I could mention.

Well… apparently it’s now wrong to use the word midget!! Ffs!!!
why?
midget, in human anatomy, a person of very small stature whose bodily proportions, intelligence, and sexual development are within the normal range.

Dwarf is a person of unusually small stature; especially : a person whose height does not exceed 4' 10' and is typically less than 4' 5'. A person of abnormally small stature owing to a pathological condition, especially a person with congenital hypothyroidism or some other disease that produces disproportion or deformation of features and limbs.

A midgy is somebody who is not quite the size of a midget but far from the size of a normal human being. Also known as a dwarf or giant midget.

Just Google midget and M&S. Apparently it is a term now that is often classified as offensive!!!

Afternoon folks.... Don't pop on here too often but occasionally I get drawn in to the debates you guys have...

I'm not sure what the M&S midget row is about (but will take a look out of curiosity) but I did see Man It's have apparently ripped into a section of their fans for abusive chanting directed at Wolves Moutinho (excuse spelling)... By all accounts the chant was something to do with him being vertically challenged (or being a short guy myself, as I was once described... Being a low down bum :emoticon-0140-rofl:).

Let's face it, society is constantly looking for reasons to be annoyed and offended these days (or as it's always described in the media, shocked and appalled...no one can be mildly offended or irked nowadays).

STICKS AND STONES ... Tuesday's Wednesdays Thursdays Sundays I venture out with 3 different groups, all with the same purpose/pursuit. "banter" is rife and often personal, but never angry... to anyone on their first visit it can be down right alarming [ plenty warnings of the drift of conversations/ comments usually precede ] but never fail to get a reaction... We tend nowadays to give them a week or two to get used to it before "dragging them in"

Banter.... A soon to be archived phrase along with all other "hate" speech as decreed by the minority masses who appear to be able to sway things.

I don't hold sway with those who spout incredibly hurtful and personal comments aimed to offend and try palm it off as banter, but anyone with an ounce of common sense can usually tell the difference.
