My gut feeling is still saying that he'll be sold in the summer. Even without that interview, Davies' emergence combined with Sessegnon's apparent availability means that it still makes a lot of sense to bring in £30m plus a long term investment for the future.

I still think we should test the Cottage waters again in January though. Leave it to the summer and there will likely be a bidding war that we won't be able to compete with. Fulham have suffered a real slump since a strong start, picking up just 2 points from their last 15. Could be bullied into an early buy n loan back deal.
I think that we'll be back in for Sessegnon sooner rather than later and might even look to pick up his brother, too.
The other player to keep an eye on is Luke Shaw. Utterly out in the cold at Utd, but he was Pochettino's pet at Southampton.
His contract's up in the summer, though there's some sort of option for another year.

Is the option for the angry, little Portuguese bloke to continue to reduce his value by £10m per season? If his contract was any longer, they'd have have to pay us to take him away.........like a fridge.

Joint statement from Spurs and Wet Sham about our upcoming fixture:
...

I read something in the ES that in addition to the obvious
moronics of having reduced public transport + public service
personnel already thinly stretched on that day for the
midnight revelry, there is also the issue that TfL provide free
travel on that day (so even more encouragement for people
to attend the game) .

I've also heard that there's some issue with stadium staff that's being kept under wraps.
Basically, it's a stupid idea and it needs to be shifted as quickly as possible, but they don't want to admit it.
I assume that some other poor schmucks would have their game moved for TV as a result.
Everyone knew that this was a major problem when it was announced.

Former England defender Chris Powell joins Tottenham scouting team
Former England defender Chris Powell has joined Tottenham’s scouting team.

The highly respected coach has been working for Spurs on an ad-hoc basis, scouting players in Britain, but he is not expected to join the club on a full-time basis.

The 48-year-old has been out of work since leaving his role as Derby’s assistant manager in March and his last managerial job was at Huddersfield, where he spent 15 months until November 2015.

Powell made 667 appearances for Charlton, Southend, Derby, West Ham, Watford and Leicester.

So I give it a month before a hatchet job claims we're standing in the way of BAME coaches.
