We need to bring in a serious goal scorer if we want to win the championship this season. Most teams in the division have at least one.. I wouldnt call Hernandez our goal scorer yet as he misses too many easy chances for me.

My ideal situation is we sell Jela to west ham tomorrow and we also accept an offer for Hernandez from whoever.. then Bruce needs to do what he's failed to do since he came, and thats bring in a proper striker.

We need a Rhodes/Austin/McCormack/Vydra type signing.

You can miss 10 but as long as you hit the net at least once then you have a chance to win,and he could carry on and be very good.

Hernandez is running around a fair bit and he is getting in goalscoring positions (which is an achievement in itself for our strikers) but he just seems to be snatching at chances. Even the one he scored v Preston he should have buried but got lucky, and he should have had a further 2 in the game. Maybe, just maybe, a couple more in off his backside and then we might see what he can really do.....at the moment, he looks more like someone we took a £2m punt on than a £10m international.

He's got glass knees so I wouldn't be surprised if he fails the medical. If Jela - with his injury record passes a medical it beggars belief how Austin - who had no record of knee injuries to my knowledge - failed one at the KC:shocked:

I can't understand all the excitement about losing Jelavic. He's our best striker. I'm sure the club has financial reasons to get rid and whatever but the team is definitely weakened by losing him. Looks like yet again we're going to come out of a transfer window with **** all up front.

This is obviously your opinion and one not shared by manh. As many have said, I'd rather not have somebody here who doesn't want to be. We can't. A carrying a player who's giving 50% because he scored a few goals in the premier league.
