If we sign him I would think we were almost certainties for promotion. The goals he brings to the team would be enough to cover for McGregor mistakes. He's scored two in a poor Brentford side already, and had a hand in the other three on the weekend. If we get promoted on the back of that he pays for himself with the new TV deal coming in. No idea why we're being so stupid.

Yeah, can't really fathom why the Allam's wouldn't sanction a hijack, apart from distrusting Bruce when it comes to spending big on strikers. This guy isn't an unknown though, he's prolific and has started the season on fire.

Why have we not paid out £9m for Andre Gray...............................YET.!!!!

The answer is quite simple. We have not yet been able to move on either or both UnAbel and/or Jelavic.

We have 5 strikers at the club atm if you include Aluko. It will be a shame IF we miss out on Gray but nowhere near the end of the world that the hissy fitters on here are making out.

Bristol City are desperate as saturday showed. Not sure though that Brizzle are better than Brentford.

Gray should wait and see what happens over the next 2 weeks imo.

If Abel had the same drive and intensity of Gray or say a Jamie Vardy I dare say he would be good enough if not better. The problem I always thought was he was decent in 1 in 3, and didn't have the drive or stamina to pressurize centre halfs. I thought it was something to do with coming from Italian football or not been fit enough, I think its a mentality problem personally.

Last time we nearly got badly stung by relying on loans. Elmo, Meyler and Stockdale all got recalled by their parent clubs just to mess with us. Better off just signing someone.

I'd heard the emergency loan window was on its way out. I actually wish it was true, it's just an excuse to not sign the players we need.
