Ordinarily I'd agree but I was watching him pre-season before I knew anything about him coming here, he's a special talent and I reckon he can easily hit 20 this season

When he was at the hertswood impact centre playing in same school team as my boy he played against some very good players wether senior or not and he did the job i have no doubt he will do it he always has had confidence in himself.
You mean you were just hoping you could post some utter bollocks without being unchallenged. What a surprise.

If you say so.

Yep I have a few Arsenal mates and watched the game where he got his hatty - two penalties I might add. I think he'll be great for us, but how many strikers have we signed that have started like a house on fire then just dried up for months on end?
Can't argue with our strikers record, just get a feeling that Akpom will break the mould, only time will tell.

Brentford have accepted a £9m bid from Bristol City for striker Andre Gray, BBC Sport understands.

The 24-year-old striker, who had been a target for Hull, is currently discussing personal terms with the Bees' Championship rivals.

Looks like we lost him to Bristol City.

Good. We can stop pissing around and move on to other targets. Not worth £9m.

We can't lose what we never had , get over it , he gone to club willing to pay waaaayy over the odds for him , he is worth £5m tops

In other news, Dame N'Doye is a target for Trabzonspor.

Agreed. And if i was holding the purse strings I wouldn't sign another striker while we still have a strikeforce costing £17m and earning £60k a week on our hands. We really do need to shift one before we spend big....

Those are my thoughts as well.

We can't go into September with Jelavic & Hernandez PLUS another expensive forward.

Jesus ****ing wept.

Gray is an OK Championship striker. Nothing more, nothing less.

Signing him or not will not be the reason we get promoted or not.

We already have two better strikers at the Club in Jelly and Hernandez.
Despite the fact that Hernandez did not live up to expectations in the Premier League, he is an international striker and should tear the defences in this league apart.

All the clubs know our release clauses and the fact that we have no offers means that other clubs are balking at them. The panic of deadline day buyers is still a concern but that should work in our favour if the clauses are high value.
I dont think it's the fees that are putting clubs off
it's more likely their wages compared to alternative players
Did you know that somebody describes Huddlestone as "combative"?

Although I kind of have to agree with this it's frustrating the **** out of me, watching a rival snap up a player that will undoubtedly at least double in value over the next 12 months. I suppose Bristol City aren't in a position whereby they need to offload expensive players to bring some in so, although it's understandable, it doesn't make it any less frustrating.

I saw that, amazing. Another source to ignore in the future. Who pays these tossers to write absolute drivel I wonder ?
Think how much we'd make if someone paid the contributers on this board for all their sage knowledge.:emoticon-0105-wink::emoticon-0112-wonde

9m for Gray? Plus whatever else they're not announcing?

They've been mugged right off.
I think that's right. I still can't over the fact that whatever goals he has scored recently, Gray failed to make the grade in Shrewsbury's reserves.

****ing Shrewsbury. Reserves.
