Ipswich want £4m for Murphy, it's quite a lot for a 32 year old who's really only ever had one great season.

He's Cardiff's No.1 target.

Derby's odds on signing Rhodes have just been cut from 12/1 to 4/1.

Apparently, they were never going to do anything before July 1st, as they need any deal to come after their year end, to avoid any FFP issues.

Ince's loan contract will be well and truly over by that point, which means any details within that contract will have expired with it.

Which means we can tell them to **** off, unless it's a normal release clause rather than a buyout clause in the loan.

If Derby are waiting until July, you have to conclude it is a release clause in his city contract which anyone can meet.

The transfer window doesn't open until 12.00 on Wednesday, it's not actually possible to sign him before then, so the option to make the deal permanent obviously can't end in June.

To find to a ''Big Dunc'' stature of a player I suggest taking a good look at the Scandinavian leagues.
I bet there's many a bargain there but English clubs don't seem to do as much recruiting there as they used to.

Guidetti is Swedish, on a free and already here...I think he wants PL football though

Although Hooper and Le Fondre are both decent players they are not the type that will work well in our team, we need someone on the end of crosses, so Murphy and Rhodes fit the bill.

In a perfect world we need to find the nearest thing to Duncan Ferguson
In a perfect world we need an up and coming young striker like Ings who would also be an asset in the Prem if we got promoted.
Neither Hooper or Le Fondre are Prem class, so they would become deadwood if we went up.

That's the reason I'd go all out to convince jelly to stay! With a nice promotion bonus!

Last time Le Fondre was in the Premier League he scored 12 in 34 and he only started 11 games, how is that not Premier League class?

I thought Hooper was decent in the PL as well. Maybe not as prolific as ALF but a better player overall I thought. Not seen him since though.

Agreed John. There are certain teams and you think fair enough if he went to a Boro or Ipswich. If not its just money.

I know those two did well last season but neither should be more of a pull than us. We keep being told we're in good shape financially so we shouldn't be losing players to anyone in this league really, even more so if they're happy here like most appear to be.
