There are loads of good Championship strikers. Most teams have one. (Brackets are their league goals last season)

Birmingham - Donaldson (15)
Blackburn - Rhodes (21), Gestede (20)
Bolton - Le Fondre (8)
Brentford - Gray (16)
Bristol - Wilbraham (18)
Cardiff - Jones (13)
Charlton - Vetokele (11)
Derby - Martin (18)

Fulham - McCormack (17)
Huddersfield - Wells (11)
Ipswich - Murphy (27)
Leeds - Antenucci (10)

Middlesbrough - Bamford (17)
MK Plastics - Grigg (20)
Nottingham - Assombalonga (15)
Preston - Garner (26), Beckford (12)

Reading - Pogrebnyak (8)
Rotherham - Derbyshire (9)
Sheff Wed - Nuhiu (8)
Wolve
s - Dicko (14), Sako (15)

(Brighton left out because they didn't have one.)

Donaldson and Wilbraham. Reckon they've got "city legends" written all over them!

You did this with Eoin Doyle last season, they're just one hit wonders who did well at lower league level. Matty Done managed 7 in 14 which is decent, but he's more of a wide forward than an out and out striker, more like Elliot for us.

Henderson's goalscoring record before last season was piss poor, Williams wasn't much better although he's had a couple of decent seasons in the past. He's just been released by Swindon, but I saw that he went on loan to Yeovil in their Championship season and failed miserably.

We need to be buying Championship goalscorers (that aren't Daryl Murphy), we're going to have to splash some cash to get one that's reliable but if we want out of this league at the first attempt, we're going to have to go for it.

That is what many said about Danny Ings and Charlie Austin to name but 2. If they are not given the chance then who knows.

I think that our new strikers will end up being loans from PL big clubs at some point. Assuming of course that we can shift the 3 "who say" they want away.

Noticed when looking at league one scorers records all inconsistent never done it season after season , could beckford do it???

Think watford would take there ndoye off us for a few million and there young 18 goal striker to us on a season loan as part pf the deal?

Beckford has the talent but i would guess that PNE/Grayson will be first in line for him.

Watford have been linked with an £7m bid for Rudy Gestede from Blackburn.

If we could convince Jelavic to stay, he'd be really useful at this level. Of the striker names mentioned he'd be my top priority.

But knowing us we'll lose him and keep the other two useless bastards.

I mentioned around the start of last season Sako at Wolves, a big lump of a guy who knows where the onion bag is, yet again he has had a decent scoring season, gotta be bored with wolves by now ffs, offer him a swap from gold to amber

If you're after a striker you can have Tom Hopper <ok>

Be happy to see Jelly go as I can't see anyone getting a full season out of him with that rooted knee

Bruce HAS to get it right this summer, He's been pretty poor signing strikers for us with Jela being the best of the bunch. If you look at the strikers other clubs landed for similar or less money, it doesnt look a great signing.
