loaning a striker from a 'top' club will help the cause, but if we are dependant upon any 18 old to score the goals to get us back up, then forget it, it won't happen. We need a proven scorer from the UK. Get Daryl Murphy in from Ipswich if poss would be my preference. Brucey has shown striker wise he doesn't have a great track record, so its not an area were we should be experimenting or developing players for other clubs week and week out.
I agree, we should look at quality youngsters, like Wilson, so he could stay when were back in the PL.

If we want youth when it comes to a striker or two Jordan Moris or Jullian Green would both be on my list of options. Both have serious pace and are under 21.

A lot of people have mentioned Jela as one of those players who couldn't be arsed to play in the championship for us, but is there anything to back this view up? He's always struck me as someone who would give 100% no matter what, and given his scoring record in the PL would certainly back him to bang them in in the champo

Reactions: PLT and Kempton
Wilson would be a great signing, even as a loan.

Without a doubt. If we can get rid of Jelavic N'Doye and Hernandez that would open up alot of cash to use elsewhere.

Looking at whats left in the championship most of the good ones have gone upto the PL now.

Ipswich striker Daryl Murphy who bagged 27 goals last season is not on that much by all accounts.

Looking @ league one strikers,,, Ian Henderson(Rochdale) got 22 goals and Andy Williams(Swindon) got 21 goals last season and they would hardly break the bank/budget either.

AFC Bournmouth bought Calum Wilson for £3m from Coventry last season and he scored 20 goals to help them win the league.

One David Burns. Good enough for me.

Question is mind who would take a chance on him ?

N'Doye was linked with Wba a while back but that was in a red top paper. Other than that nowt so far.

Maybe Bruce isn't too sure about his knee? We never get to know what goes on behind the scenes. Everyone who's watched him play would agree with you though. Maybe he hasn't got a relegation clause also so maybe it might sway Bruce's mind?

West Ham, Palace and QPR were all interested in Jelavic when he was at Everton, a lot will depend on how much this seasons injuries have hampered his chances of a move.
