As it stands N'doye and Sagbo have both gone and been replaced by a teenager from another club who no matter how good he Is will never be ours and another teenager promoted from the youth squad and this is before Jelavic and Hernandez who have been widely touted around even by their own manager could be suddenly gone.
Unless the plan all along was to play Aluko up front we need a striker now.

We don't need a striker now, we need a striker once one leaves. If we spend big on one now and Jelavic and Hernandez both stay, we are heavy on strikers lacking the funds to strengthen more pressing areas.

Huddlestone, Diame and Dawson have a fair chance of being bought up, we should go out and buy replacements for them before they go too.

So with strikers we should only buy when one leaves
but with defenders and midfield we should buy before any leave?

I was being sarcastic.

You don't go out and spend money to fix something that might never happen.

I take it everyone has a spare car on the drive in case one breaks down? Or in case someone knocks on the door with an offer you can't refuse?

The issue is with the way the transfer window works I can see 2 leaving in the last hour or so of the window leaving us with very little time to get in our preferred options. It's always the way the window works. We don't seem to learn from our previous experiences.

Why would you need a spare car in case one breaks down when you can hire a car of any quality if needed?
You can certainly use the loan market but he quality is more limited.

I do Bob, it's an Audi TT Roadster, and it's FOR SALE if anyone's interested, only 14,000 miles and £7k will buy it, a LOT cheaper then Andre Gray.

Agreed, you end up with a player with no experience or a player that can't get into somebody else's starting 11.

I do as I have 3...and a holiday home
People have more than one of the above because they are using them for different purposes. I know people who have holiday homes but unless they are very rich they may only use them for a couple of months a year. I would rather stay in a hotel.

So what happens if we sign Gray and no one wants Jela or Abel? Do we keep a £17m/£50kish per week strike force on the bench?

I dont get it.. When Bristol were close to signing Gray, it was reported EVERYWHERE.. now he's apparently close to signing for Burnley and there's hardly any info out there.. whats going on?
